Chapter 17

I kept pushing it to the back of my mind the fact that he'd be gone soon. To be quite honest I think I'm still in denial like this all a big joke that I'm the head of. I rather just not think about it just enjoy him while you have him I keep telling myself but there's always that little voice in the back of my head counting down each day,every minute and every second. I was sitting in the car watching the scenery go by just drowning my self in my deeply depressing thoughts.

"What's on ya mine bae?" Deshaun asked with concern.

"Nothing really just thinking." I lie giving him a fake smile. I had a feeling that he didn't believe me. I didn't want to tell him what I was really thinking of today was supposed to be our day of relaxation and fun and I'd hate to be a debby downer. He took his right hand off of the stirring wheel entangling his fingers with mine and lifted them up kissing the top of my hand making me smile. I loved moments like this the little things that made me happy his thoughtfulness. Hard to believe I didn't believe in happiness before he came along.

We got out of the car walking to what seemed like an amusement park of course I didn't know for sure because Deshaun loves surprising me which I honestly can say I hate but oh well. I had never really been to a amusement park I had heard of them but I never got to actually experience one. We walked towards the entrance of the park to get tickets after he bought the tickets we made out way inside. All I could do was look around in amazement the rides were humongous. I pulled his arm towards the biggest ride I saw.

"Um are you sure you wanna get on this one?"he asked with a hint of worry in his voice.

"Is someone scared to get on the big Rollercoaster?I ask him in a taunting voice.

"No I'm just sayin why spend your time on that when you can be riding something bigger."he says with smirk spread wide across his face grabbing me by waist.

"Gotta blast." I say running to the line for the ride he's such a perv I chuckled to myself.

"I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER get on one of those death traps ever again." I said in all seriousness I could still feel my heart in my stomach. All the twist and turns I can officially label that as the worst experience of my life. How do people enjoy being tossed around by a metal death trap. I heard snickering behind me I turn to Deshaun mesn mugging him.

"What's so funny?" I ask folding my arms.

"You I've never seen somebody so excited to get on a ride then shriek like a little girl the whole time." He said busting out in a fit of laughter. I flicked him off walking away.

"What time baby?"he said with a smirk. Him and that smirk are gonna get me in alot of trouble. I walked off from him looking for some other attractions to go to. I stopped when I came across a carousel I watched all children happily smiling on top of the horses. The look of pure joy on their faces was beautiful even their parents were taking pictures and waving as they passed by. I sat there imaging how it would have been to do things like this with my parents to have. What I'd do just to have those beautiful memories to look back on one day and just smile at the thought of. I felt to strong arms wrap around my waist he layed his head in the crook of my neck I still stood there just reveling on what could have been.

"I want this one day." I say

"You wanna carousel?" He asked I shook my head at his ignorance.

"No fool I want that." I said gesturing towards the happy couple taking pictures of their child on the carousel.
"Ohhh." He said nodding his head in response. We sat there for a while just staring I started thinking about the future if me and Deshaun would adopt kids of our own. What would they look like? They'd probably be silly like him I chuckled at the thought.

"wanna get some food?"

"Yeah I'm starving."he unwrapped his hands from around my waist and grabbed my hand pulling me towards one of the vendors. After we got our food we sat down at a table and started eating. Gosh I was so hungry! It was like I hadn't ate in years and this food was was so good. I look up to be met with a par of big brown eyes staring at me.
"Uhm can I help you?" I ask he

"Nah."he answered

"Then why are you staring at me?"

"No reason just admiring a masterpiece." He said making me blush. He always finds a way to make me blush I think he enjoys making me look like a cherry in the face. I was finishing up my food I could still feel hiseyes on me making me smile slightly. When I was done I threw a way my trash the next thing I know I was being pulled away from the table.

"Where are we going?" I ask in confusion

"Somewhere." He answered with a smirk of course another one of his famous surprises. We kept walking until we got to a Farris wheel.

"Um sir what was the purpose of taking me here?" I asked because I refuse to get on another ride especially since the first time I got on one I almost went into cardiac arrest.

"We're goingto ride it silly." He said poking me in the nose as if I was a child.

"Well I know that but why?"

"Uhm because I said so." He said in a matter of factly tone. I folded my arms together and poked out my bottom lip I sat on the ground criss cross apple sauce like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

"Cam get up." He told me I shook my head no in response.

"Ok then." He said I smiled thinking I had won this battle. I was wrong. I ended up hanging from shoulder I should've saw this coming. By this time we were in line about to get on the ride he had finally put me down sitting me in the ride and sliding in next to me. I was hesitant on getting on this ride but it turned out to be better than I thought. I sat there laying my head on his shoulder enjoying the view watching the sun set making the sky turn a vibrant mixture of oranges,pinks and yellows it was beautiful. The more I sat there the more I realized how good it felt just the two of us enjoying each others company. Just being in love.
