After the big feast there was an even bigger party.

We all got changed and headed down to the palace's 5 party rooms. I finally found Katara.

This is my chance to prove my love to her., I looked through room 3 and found her "Hey Kat!" I approached "H-..hey Aang.." "What's wrong?" "Nothing.." She plastered a fake smile. The fake smile that I knew so week. The fake smile that Katara uses as a mask. The mask that hides emotions. The mask that got Katara through tough times..

"C'mon Kat you can tell me," I sat next to her "Aang, really I'm okay.. Just a little sad. My brother is all grown up and soon he and Suki are gonna go off and live their perfect life away from me......" "Are you crazy Katara?! You must be.. You know that Sokka would never do that to his baby sister. Now, can we go in the balcony?" "Sure,."

It's time..

"Katara, you know that you're my bestfriend. You are the one person that means the world to me. And I can't thank you enough for getting me out from that ice .. Everyday has gone by and everyday I questioned my feelings towards you.. What I me saying is that, I err... I I uhhh... Well Katara, I think that I'm in love with you."

Narration:

Aang was ready for the words 'I love you too..' He couldn't imagine her saying otherwise.. But what Aang heard, was something he was not prepared for..

"Aang I- how can I say this, I don't... I don't love you like that Aang... Yes I will admit, at first I liked you but over the years you started feeling less like a lover and more like a young brother to me.." Aang eyes immediately water and a stunned look covers his face "what..? But how c---There is someone else..?" He turned red and was mortified.. "No Aang there is no o-" "YOURE LYING." He looked more angry than hurt now "Aang, don't raise your voice on me I'm telling you there is no one.." Katara responds calmly

"WHO IS IT KATARA" Aang now yells "I DONT NEED TO TELL YOU, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!?!" Katara also tears up "Aang, you're my best friend too but, I'm sorry that's just not how I feel and I hope that this won't affect our friendship.."

"Just tell me who it is.."
And without any hesitation Katara says "Zuko. Yes even after what he do to me Aang I still love him. I'm angry at him and I do wanna strangle him sometimes but I guess that's what love is.. I love him Aang I am sorry but my heart has never said otherwise since the day I met him.
