I crawl out of my car and locked it behind me, beginning my walk to my apartment. I find myself smiling at the thought of my brothers popped into my head, as I climbed the staircase up to the apartment. They must be having tons of fun and laughing so much with Destiny and probably Ashton as well. Ashton, with his bright blue eyes and his bleached hair....

I sigh sadly to myself, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. Even though I have come to terms that I have intensely strong feelings for him, I just can't bring myself to risk another broken heart. Even though he is incredibly sweet and sort of shy.
I walk over to Ash and Dee's apartment first to pick up my brothers. I knock at least three times before I hear a giggle from behind the door. It opens wide to reveal a silly string covered Ashton in an old button up black shirt. I feel a dumb smile climb onto my face as I pull a couple strands off of his shoulder.

"So I guess you got off work early?" I say as he grabs a couple more off of his head. Then he promptly places it on my head.

"What do you think?" he says before beckoning me inside. I find Destiny in the kitchen flipping burgers on the stove in a long sleeve grey sweatshirt with "Rain is just confetti from the sky" and some black leggings. She gave me a wink as she stuck her tongue out.

"Look who's finally home." she says as I place my purse on the coat rack hanging on the wall. I smile as I take a seat at the counter, Ashton sitting right next to me.

"I've got a good story from work." I say as lean back in my seat. "So you two know how I told you guys about the other intern for the company that has been MIA since I started?" They both nod, Destiny places a burger onto a plate as she does.

"Well you'll never guess..."

DING DONG!! The doorbell to the apartment resounds into the kitchen as my story comes to an abrupt stop. Dee hands her spatula of to me before going towards the front door. I hear the front door open and a voice, a girl's. When she comes back, a redheaded girl was with her. She was probably shorter than me but her body was much curvier. She wore a long sleeve, black, splicing crop blouse and a lace skirt. I felt Ashton stiffen next to me. I look and see his face white, his eyes wide, and his ears going red.

"Ashy?" The girl says, with hope glimmering in her eyes. Her brown eyes look like she was about to cry but for some reason, I didn't believe she was even sad.He gulps down a lump before speaking out.

"Sophia." Ash mutters out nervously, looking from me to Sophia and back again. He shifts uncomfortably in his seat. Then he stands up to leave. "I can't talk to you, I swore that last time."

Sophia cries out "Wait! I just came to talk!"

He looks at her, no emotions in his eyes. No sympathy, nothing. Finally he says strictly "You've got five minutes. C'mon."

He led her into his room, shutting it behind her to conceal their As soon as the door shuts I immediately look to Destiny for answers "Who the hell is she??"

Dee isn't smiling, her hands are folded across the front of her chest. "She is Ash's last girlfriend. He broke up with her when he found out from his best friend that she had been sleeping with every soccer player at school. He nearly lost his cool because another one of his friends was on the team and had lied to him."

"Then why is she here?" I push further, feeling hatred for this girl begin to bubble inside me.

"She said something about," she glanced at me "trying to get back with Ash. Get him to forgive her and try to start all over."

I feel my heart shatter into a million pieces as thoughts flooded my head. She is a thousand times prettier than me. But she is also a major cheater. But with that dress on she might just win him back. But Ashton would never be that stupid.  Oh god what if he stops liking me.
