As much as he hated the woods, the image of Grantaire in Enjolras' mind motivated him to go back. He walked through the trees, cursing every time he tripped over a root, or thorns snagged at his clothes, but he eventually made it back to the spot where he had first met Grantaire.

"Hello?" he called, "Grantaire, are you there?"

A blur of dark hair jumped out of the trees and landed like a cat in front of him.

"I see you came back." Grantaire smiled.

"Y-yes." replied Enjolras, failing to hide the nerves in his voice.

Grantaire let out a slight laugh. "There's no need to be afraid." he said, "Come on, I want to show you something."

Grantaire took Enjolras' hand in his and led him through the  forest. Enjolras was about to ask where they were going when they walked out into a clearing, a huge lake dotted with lily pads in the centre.

Enjolras let out a sigh at the sight before him and Grantaire smiled smugly. "Beautiful, isn't it?" he said. Enjolras merely nodded, his mouth open slightly.

They sat by the edge of the lake for a while, getting to know each other better and simply enjoying each other's company, until Grantaire stood up.

"Come on," he said, nodding his head at the lake, "It's warm, I promise." He pulled off his T-shirt and trousers and Enjolras did the same. They both waded into the water in their boxers.

Grantaire hadn't been kidding; the water was extremely warm, and Enjolras laid back in pleasure. He was so relaxed that he has forgotten that Grantaire was there, until he felt water splash his face.

"Hey!" he cried as Grantaire laughed and he splashed the brunette back.

"Oh, it is on!" laughed Grantaire and the two boys broke out into a water fight, flicking water at each other and laughing until they could hardly breathe.

"Stop! Stop! My sides hurt!" Enjolras cried at last and Grantaire splashed him one last time before finally calling it quits.

Enjolras managed to stop laughing and looked at Grantaire. The light was reflecting off the water and illuminating his face.

"Grantaire, why did you ask me to come back here?" he asked.

"Because," said Grantaire, moving so close that his bare chest was almost touching Enjolras', "I saw the most beautiful boy I've ever seen and just couldn't let him walk out of my life."

Enjolras gulped as Grantaire placed a hand on his cheek and kissed him. It was a gentle kiss; not too much pressure and not for too long. When Grantaire pulled away, Enjolras threw his arms around him and held him close.

"I'm gonna come back here every day." Enjolras said so softly that it was almost a whisper.

"You know where to find me." Grantaire smiled.
