There are some potentially triggering things in this one shot, someone forcing themselves upon someone, so if this upsets you, please don't read it.

Enjolras and Cosette are siblings in this one shot, just to make it clear. Also it's set in modern times.

"See you, Enjy!" Cosette waved as she left her brother's house. She had just spent the evening there and was on her way home.

It was a quiet winter's night and Cosette wrapped her coat further around her small body. She folded her arms over her chest.

The cold wind caused her to shiver, so she decided to take a shortcut back to her house.

She turned left down a dark alleyway. She gulped at the lack of light, but continued down it anyway.

Cosette was halfway down the alleyway when a man stepped out of a back door. He stumbled and slumped against the wall in front of her.

Cosette took no notice and continued walking. She didn't know the man, therefore could not judge what he would do.

"Whoa-ho there, young lady!" she heard him call. Cosette ignored him. "Hey, pretty little thing, I'm talking to you!" Again she continued down the alleyway.

The man ran in front of her and blocked her path. "Excuse me." Cosette said firmly.

"Well, now, I just wanted to say hello." the man laughed. Cosette could smell the liquor on his breath.

"Hello." she tried to smile.

"Hello." he purred, a slight seductive tone in his voice.

"Goodbye." Cosette tried to walk past him, but he pinned her to the wall.

"No need to rush, my love. Now, what's your name?"

"Get off me."

"That's not the answer to my question."

"I said get off me."

"And what are you going to do if I don't?"

Cosette brought up her knee and forced it into the man's groin. He stumbled away from her and she began to run in the opposite direction, back to her brother's house, which was closer.

A hand grabbed hold of the back of her coat and pulled her backwards. Another hand cupped her breast and the other soon joined it.

"Get off! Don't touch me!" she cried, before letting out a scream that she hoped would attract someone's attention.

Grantaire was wandering the streets that evening. He often went for walks and often found himself near Enjolras' house. He rarely knocked the door, however.

It was peaceful. He looked out across the sea. They were lucky enough to live near the pier and he often came to admire the view. Of the sea. Not Enjolras' house, knowing that the blonde was somewhere in there. No, the sea. Not that.

Suddenly an ear-splitting scream echoed through the street, sending a chill down Grantaire's spine. Any other person would have ran to get more help, for fear of a murderer. Grantaire, however, was not any other person.

He raced to the source of the scream as fast as he could. Here, he found a young woman struggling against the grip of a man.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Grantaire cried.

"None of your business." the man hissed.

"You let go of her." The man kept his grip. "I said let go of her!" Grantaire pushed the man off of the woman and he hit the ground, clawing Grantaire's cheek in the process. He grabbed the lady's hand and dragged her out of the alley.

"Thank you, si- Grantaire?" the woman said. Grantaire turned to look at her and recognised her immediately.

"Cosette? What the hell were you doing down that alleyway?"

"I was on my way back from Enjy's."

Her coat was unbuttoned and she was clutching her blouse to cover herself.

"Come on, I'll take you back to his, it's closer." Grantaire offered. She nodded and he led her to Enjolras' house.

He knocked on the door and Enjolras was quick to answer.

"Hey, 'Taire, what can I..." he trailed off when he saw Cosette and concern entered his eyes. "Cosette, what happened?"

"I was walking home and a man started grabbing me. Grantaire here saved me." she explained.

"You'd better come in." Enjolras instructed. He grabbed one of his T-shirts from his radiator and handed it to his sister. "Go put this on." He gestured to her torn blouse.

Cosette hurried up the stairs. Enjolras closed the front door before turning to inspect Grantaire's cheek.

"Come here." Enjolras said and led him into the kitchen.

He sat Grantaire on the work top and took a first aid kit out of one of the cupboards. He then began cleaning the wound.

"I can't thank you enough." said Enjolras.

"I just did what any other person would have done." Grantaire replied modestly.

"Oh, shush. You're a hero." Enjolras looked into Grantaire's eyes, "You're my hero."

They stayed like that for a moment, before Enjolras got a bit too careless with Grantaire's wound.

"Ouch!" Grantaire winced.

"S-sorry."

"Enjy?" Cosette said, stood in the kitchen doorway, "Can I please stay here tonight?"

"Of course, 'Sette, as if I'd let you leave. You can go up to the spare room." Enjolras replied.

"Thanks. Night, boys. Thanks again, 'Taire." She disappeared from the doorway.

"You should stay here, too." Enjolras told Grantaire.

"You only have one spare bedroom." Grantaire half whispered.

Enjolras put down the cotton he was using to clean the wound and placed a hand on the brunette's good cheek. He pressed their lips together. Grantaire kissed him back.

When they broke apart, Enjolras laughed.

"What?" Grantaire panicked. Was he that terrible at kissing?

"I guess you have no objection to the idea of sleeping in my bed?"

Grantaire smiled. "None whatsoever."
