Grantaire was always in a bad mood. Enjolras was never any better. The rest of their friends were fed up.

"That's it! We've gotta do something about those two. They're starting to do my head in!" exclaimed Courfeyrac.

"Well, what the hell are we supposed to do? Set them up on a date?" Joly replied sarcastically.

"Actually, I think we should try that." Cosette said.

"Really?" Joly frowned.

"Wait a minute, that could work!" said Combeferre.

"Really?" cried Joly.

"I suppose that maybe if they had each other, they might be happier." explained Feuilly.

"Plus, I'm pretty sure they like each other." added Bossuet.

"Hold on a minute. You do realise that they're never going to agree to going on a date with each other, right?" Eponine pointed out.

"Then we make it a blind date!" suggested Marius.

"Sounds good to me." agrees Jehan.

"It's settled then!" smiled Cosette.

"Really!" Joly exclaimed.

"Hey, Enjy?" said Courfeyrac when the pair of them were alone.

"What do you want?"

"How would you feel about going on a blind date?"

"Have you been drinking?"

"I'm serious, Enj. You've been really down in the dumps lately and I really think that you'd feel better if you gave this a shot."

"What's he like?"

"Well, it's a blind date, so I can't tell you much, but trust me, he's perfect for you."

"Oh, alright then."

Meanwhile...

"I can't believe I'm doing this." Joly sighed to himself before walking into the study, where Grantaire was sat painting.

"I'm busy." said Grantaire before Joly could even open his mouth.

"And I have the opportunity of a lifetime."

"What?" Grantaire turned away from his painting to look at his friend.

"A date."

"Get out."

"Please, Grantaire. Just one date? It'll make you feel better."

"Unless it goes wrong."

"Grantaire, for once in your life would you stop being so pessimistic and take a chance?"

"Ugh, fine."

Joly smiled to himself. He knew that that would get him.

"Okay, great! Well, I'll leave you to your painting then."

"Shut the door behind you."

Enjolras looked down at his watch. His date was late.

What a great start! he thought.

He looked up and was surprised to see Grantaire stood in front of him.

"Oh, hey, 'Taire. What are you doing here?" he asked him.

"Joly somehow managed to convince me to go on a blind date." the brunette replied.

"Oh, really? Courfeyrac set me up on a blind date, too. What a coinci- wait a minute."

"You're my date, aren't you?"

"It would seem that way, yes."

"I'm going to kill those two."

Enjolras began to panic. He had liked Grantaire for quite some time now and his friends must have picked up on it, so maybe Grantaire had, too.

"Although, maybe we could give this a shot?" Grantaire asked, blushing nervously.

Enjolras heart began to flutter. "I'd like that." he replied.

Grantaire bent down and kissed Enjolras softly on the lips, forgetting that they were in a restaurant filled with people.

"I think this could work." the brunette smiled.

"I think so, too." Enjolras smiled back.
