"It's getting really chilly" Yuki muttered curling up on her bed and Sayori hummed in agreement sitting on the edge of Yuki's bed as both of them watched me set up my instruments.
"Don't you think that this was too sudden?" I muttered looking at them as I plugged in my synthesizer "maybe but you're really good" Yuki answered "no doubt about that, you were the most talented 10 year old I had ever met" Sayori stated and I smiled slightly.
"Choose one" I announced revealing my guitar, synthesizer and violin "I think you should sing too so the violin in out" Yuki said placing her chin in her palm "Let's look up some songs and the one which Misaki can play and sing, we'll use that instrument" Yori suggested and we nodded "I'll just change and get my laptop".
I headed into my dorm and grabbed a navy blue sweater with a pair of black sweatpants before changing into them and grabbed my laptop making my way back to Yuki's dorm.
Yuki and Yori were both scrolling through their phones whilst randomly playing songs they wanted to hear so I quickly grabbed a bottle of water taking a swig from the bottle "I think you should sing a song about your feelings for Kaname"
I spit out the water I had in my mouth and looked at Yori in shock who hadn't looked up from her phone "what are you talking about?" I questioned not being able to make any sense of her suggestion.
Yori sighed looking up at me "you're really dense"
I deadpanned putting my water bottle down "seriously? How so?" I questioned "it's obvious you like Kaname-senpai, right Yuki?" Yori looked at Yuki who nodded.
"It's been nearly a month and she's not figured it out as yet" Yuki sighed talking to Yori "wow, she is really dense" Yori replied which made me sweat drop.
"SHE is right here and can we not do that now? The audition is tomorrow and I'd more than happily not go so if you want me to audition then help me pick out a song" I threatened trying to avert their attention from Kaname...somehow the topic was making me feel flustered.
Both of them agreed quickly and went back to scrolling through their phones.
"I don't know what I feel for Kaname, what I do know is that I respect him, he's saved me more times than I can count, he's always been there for me, he's always taken out time to comfort me. Even if he does it unknowingly, it...makes me happy. It'll take me time to figure out what I feel because I've never felt like this before and it feels...different...for now, just know that I really respect Kaname" I explained looking up at Yori and Yuki who were looking at me with their mouths agape.
"Have I ever mentioned I wrote a song? No? Well let me go get it and you can judge it" I laughed nervously before making a beeline back to my dorm and browsed through my documents.
I had completely forgotten about my songs but now is as good as a time to use it...if I can find it and the piano score for it. I sighed in relief as I ran my fingers over the title 'Flag of the Blue Sky'. (A/N all credit for this song 'soukyuu no hata' goes to Yoshioka Aika as this is her song, I have no claims on it and I am just using it as a song for Misaki to sing as it kinda relates to her life)

I headed back into Yuki's dorm and sat down in front of my synthesizer "Ready?" I questioned nervously as I looked up at them and they nodded enthusiastically.
Here goes nothing...
Yuki and Yori got up and started clapping wildly as soon as I finished "that was amazing! Why haven't you told us that you write and compose songs?" Yuki gasped as she wiped away a few stray tears "your voice conveyed so many emotions, it truly touches the heart" Yori smiled encouragingly at me "is it good?"
"It's great" they both said in unison which made me smile, I was lucky to have them.
"Well, let's see what happens tomorrow"

"Misaki! Wake up!"
I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair opening the door "are you seriously going to yell every morning?" I laughed as Yuki stood there with her hands on her hips.
"Well you're always ready but you don't come out of your dorm until I get you" she pouted but then smiled "ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be" I sighed looking at the pages I was clutching tightly in my hands "It'll be okay, we are all cheering for you" she smiled encouragingly as Yori trailed out of their dorm fixing her uniform "let's go then".
We walked into the auditorium to see many students buzzing with excitement "this is nice" I smiled as I watched all the smiling faces "nice? sure. Try calming them down" Zero scoffed coming up to us with a scowl on their face making me chuckle while shaking my head.
The chairman walked onto the stage and tapped the mic to get everyone's attention "Hello and welcome to Cross Academy's first ever talent show!" he announced officially opening the event causing cheers to erupt from the student body which made the chairman laugh.
"Now I need you all to be very calm about this otherwise I'll have to cancel this event" he continued "what is he talking about?" I muttered to myself but my confusion didn't last for long.
