~Chapter 7~

MISAKI
There was only one thought on my mind as I ran with all my might 'Yuki'...I had to find her. Even though it's only been nearly 2 weeks, she's become closer to me than anyone else, it's as if she was my own which she is but not biologically. I ran into the school building to see if Yuki was patrolling but I didn't see her although I did hear whines and complaints. I gently pushed open a classroom door to see Zero leaning against the whiteboard looking at two girls who were grumbling as they wrote something. Upon looking closer, I saw that those were the same two girls from the crossover...Kaname wasn't joking. "It's not fair Kiryuu" a blonde haired girl whined "you disrespected a prefect of this academy, it's fair so shut up and finish writing this blondie" Zero growled then looked over at me "hey" he smiled as I stared at him with wide eyes "really?" I muttered gesturing to the girls and he nodded his head "we got into trouble because of that bitch" I heard a girl whine and apparently Zero did as well because a dark aura surrounded him "I want that written a 1000 times" he ordered without looking at them "what?!" they yelled but got back to work once he glared at them.
"Where's Yuki?" I asked not caring less about the grumbling girls "I'm not sure" Zero replied looking over at me "okay thanks. Hey bro, I'm sorry" I said before speeding out of the door and over to the sun dorm "Yuki" I knocked on her door but I didn't get a reply so I knocked again but the outcome was the same. 
I slumped against Yuki's door thinking about where she could be and when I realized Kaname might know where she is, I ran over to the school's main building and slipped out into the balcony facing the night class. Kaname was sitting upright in a formal manner as he flipped the pages of the book he was reading, the moonlight illuminating his face made him look even more handsome than he already is...say what? I shook my head at the thought and looked at Kaname again to see him staring at me, a smile made it's way onto my face as I could now find out where Yuki is but the problem is... how am I going to ask him? I put my hand up and slightly waved at him trying to hold his attention while I figured out how to ask him but I put it right back down when I felt Aidou's icy glare on me although Kaname smiled warmly at me and slightly nodded his head in acknowledgement.
I face palmed when I remembered he's a vampire and he would probably hear me even from here "Yuki, where is she?" I asked hoping he heard me but he raised an eyebrow at me. I put 4 fingers up gesturing that it's a word with 4 letters and he nodded so I traced out the letters slowly for him to understand "Yuki" I mouthed. Kaname nodded his head and repeated Yuki but shrugged his shoulders slightly indicating that he didn't know but he did give me a suggestion because he mouthed another word and made the letters high enough for me to see but low enough for nobody else to see "fountain" I whispered to myself and looked at Kaname who smiled and nodded slightly which meant that I was correct. I grinned thankfully at him and gave a last wave before jumping down from the balcony and landing perfectly on my feet then took off running to the courtyard where the fountain was surrounded by a garden of beautiful flowers, the stone pathway looked so royal that it felt wrong just to walk on it. I chuckled inwardly at my thoughts but didn't dwell on it for long as my eyes scanned the courtyard looking for Yuki. I sighed in relief once I saw her sitting on a bench lost in thought, I made my way over to the bench and sat down next to her. 
For a while, we were both quiet until Yuki spoke up "why?" she asked not looking at me and even though she didn't specify, I knew what she was asking "I didn't want any of you to get harmed" I sighed casting my gaze at my shoes "how would we have gotten harmed in any way with you around?" Yuki questioned and I could feel her gaze on me "everyone who sticks around with me gets harmed" I replied keeping my eyes glued onto my shoes "how?" Yuki pressed "they all die. The first time it happened, I thought it was an accident but it kept happening to every family I was with. They all died Yuki. I feel as if whoever the murderer is was always after me but it struck when I wasn't around so the end conclusion is that I didn't want to get to close to you all because I don't want anything to happen to you" I explained looking up at her "They were all murdered brutally" I whispered meeting her gaze. I hadn't noticed the tears forming in Yuki's eyes until they started flowing freely from her big brown eyes "why are you crying?" I asked wiping a tear from her cheeks "why do you try to keep everything to yourself Misaki? This was eating you alive yet you didn't say anything to anyone" Yuki said wiping her tears away "I-" I started but she cut me off "you made us feel hopeless when we saw you battling on your own, we are here for a reason Misaki. I am here for a reason, if anything is bothering you, you could always come to me and you know that. We wouldn't be hurt by some lowlife who finds joy in killing people, we would be hurt by losing you" she paused "I am your sister Misaki, I will always be there" she finished putting her hand on mine "I'm sorry" I choked trying to hold my tears back. What I tried to do wasn't fair on them, they care so much for me yet I tried to go away from them. Yuki pulled me into a hug and I smiled because it's the first time, I've felt such a sisterly bond with anyone "the chairman" I whispered remembering that I had to go sort things out with him.
"I'm going to go meet him" I informed Yuki and she nodded "yeah you should. Come to my dorm when you're done, we'll have a sleep over" Yuki said excitedly "at 3 in the morning?" I asked raising an eyebrow "duh! now hurry!" she shooed me away.
I laughed and made my way over to the school wall jumping over it and into the chairman's lawn "chai-dad!" I called catching myself before I said chairman, I unlocked the door with my spare key and walked into the living room to see the chairman laying down on the couch with his hand draped over his eyes and slight snores escaping his mouth. I shook my head at the chairman's carelessness, I mean, the air-conditioner is at the lowest temperature, he has a fan right next to him at full speed and he doesn't even have a blanket or a pillow. I walked over to the linen cupboard and took out a blanket then draped it over the chairman's sleeping body, I removed his hand and rested it down to his side before gently removing his glasses and setting it on the coffee table. Suddenly a thought occurred to me which made me put my hand on the chairman's forehead but sighed in relief as he didn't have a fever, he is looking a bit pale though, maybe I can help him with his paperwork when I have some free time. 
I took a cushion from my room and gently raised his head putting it beneath his neck, "I guess I'll have to talk to him later" I mumbled adjusting the temperature of the air condition and turned the fan off. I took a piece of paper and wrote something on it for the chairman to see when he awakens.
'Good morning dad. I'm sorry for worrying you earlier on. I'm back to normal now!

I smiled as I rested his glasses on top of the note. I need to make it to all of them and I need to thank Kaname properly. Christmas is less than a month away, maybe if I save up enough money I'll be able to afford something nice for then. I grinned triumphantly at my plan then rushed over to the dorm before Yuki had my head.
"~honey I'm home!~" I sang jokingly as I burst into Yuki's room which made her fall off the bed and onto the floor "...pfft" I started laughing uncontrollably as I saw the expression on the face "A-a-are you o-okay?" I asked between short laughs " har de har har. Laugh all you want but I shall have my revenge" Yuki said then cackled imitating a witch whilst moving her hands around in a weird manner. Both of us burst into laughter and we were both on the floor gasping for air when Zero came in "what the?" He asked wide eyed "hiii" I giggled "are you drunk?" Zero asked with a deadpan expression "no" I laughed getting up then helped Yuki off the floor "no boys allowed" Yuki said wagging her finger at him with pursed lips. Zero stood there for a moment looking between Yuki and I "....Ramen. I'm going to eat ramen. Ramen sounds good" Zero mumbled to himself making a beeline to the door "Zero!" Yuki called "hm?" He asked halting "I love you" Yuki grinned cheekily at him "I love me too" he grinned back at her. Yuki playfully glared at him "aww Zeki" I muttered to myself at their cuteness "Zeki?" Zero asked " it's an equation. Zero+Yuki= Zeki" I explained their couple name "sounds great. Now Zero go eat your ramen. Night" Yuki shooed him away and closed the door in his face. 
"Let's party!" Yuki exclaimed jumping up and down "nee-chan, shhh" I shushed laughing "shh" she mimicked me putting a finger to her lip. We both laughed and dived straight into our sleepover. 
The rest of the night was spent with us talking about anything and everything. From school to boys, Yuki thought I was lying when I said I never had a boyfriend before and she's still in shock about it. I noticed something though, Kaname was mentioned quite a big by me, unintentionally may I add...why am I thinking about him so much?
Yuki drifted off to sleep still on her uniform but I still couldn't manage to sleep a wink. I glanced over at Yuki's sleeping figure and smiled "I'll protect you all but not by distancing myself  instead, I'll fight to keep you safe" I said to myself laying down on Yuki's roommate's bed, I believe her name is Sayori and she knows about the true nature of vampires since it was Yuki's wish that Sayori's memories weren't erased.
I have to observe what all of them would want for Christmas, it can't be something too cheap but it's the thought that counts...maybe I could make something. I smiled as I thought of all the possibilities but I was going to make sure if one thing...that one thing is that they are going to love their gifts after all it's not just a thank you gift but it's a token of my appreciation.
I hope I can figure it out on time because I have less than a month.
