The Rajawat Mansion had changed.
Not dramatically.
Not overnight.
But in countless little ways that only the people living inside it could notice.
The dining table now always had a bowl filled with fresh fruits.
The kitchen stocked twice the amount of milk, dry fruits and healthy snacks.
The household staff had been instructed to use less oil, less spice and absolutely no food that could upset Ishqi's stomach.
The entire mansion seemed to revolve around one tiny life that hadn't even entered the world yet.
And strangely...
Nobody complained.
Because every member of the Rajawat family was equally excited.
Especially Rajveer.
---
"Rajveer!"
A familiar voice echoed through the hallway.
Rajveer looked up from the newspaper in his study.
"What happened?"
"I can't find my phone."
He calmly folded the newspaper.
"Where did you keep it?"
"I don't know."
"You had it ten minutes ago."
"I know."
"So where is it?"
"I don't know."
Rajveer stood up with a sigh.
Within the next five minutes...
He found the missing phone.
Inside the refrigerator.
He silently held it in front of her.
Ishqi blinked.
Rajveer looked at her for three long seconds.
Then...
Very slowly...
He smiled.
Pregnancy had turned his already adorable wife into complete chaos.
---
"You need rest."
"I've been resting."
"You need more."
"I'll become lazy."
"You won't."
"I will."
"You'll become healthy."
She folded her arms.
"I think you're enjoying ordering me around."
"I am."
She gasped dramatically.
"You admitted it!"
"I did."
"You've changed."
"I became a father."
She gently placed her hand over her barely visible stomach.
"You became an overprotective father."
"I prefer responsible."
"I prefer overdramatic."
