"Biwi.." A low tensed, husky voice whispered, sending shivers down Ishqi's spine. Her eyes widened in shock as she gazed at the ring on her finger.
"Ve...veer..." she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Though the voice was faint, Ishqi's heart skipped a beat as she recognized the speaker - Rajveer. She brought the ring closer to her ear, and his voice became clearer.
"Biwi.. Biwi tum thik ho na? Tension mat karna mai tumko aj hi apne pas le aunga bas kuch time ki bat hai."
("Wife...wife, are you okay? Don't worry, I'll bring you back to me today, just a matter of time.")
Rajveer's voice was laced with concern, and Ishqi's eyes welled up with tears. Both of them had finally found a glimmer of hope after days of despair. Just as she was about to respond, a thought struck her, and she whispered a single word, "Shhhhh..."
Ishqi quickly turned on the taps in the washroom, creating a cacophony of sound to ensure her voice couldn't be heard from outside. She sat in a corner, brought the ring closer to her lips, and spoke in a hushed tone, her voice shaking.
"Ve..veer aj wo mujse sha..shadi karne wala hai."
("Veer, today he's going to make me marry him.")
Rajveer's response was immediate, his voice clenched in anger. Ishqi continued,
"Mujhe nahi pata ki..ki mai Kahan hu.. aur mujhe ab kahan le jayenge."
("I don't know where I am...or where they'll take me now.")
Rajveer's reassuring voice came from the other side of the ring,
"Bas biwi bas kuch der ki bat hi fir tum mere pas hogi."
("Just a little longer, wife...then you'll be back with me.")
Just as Ishqi heard Rajveer's words, she heard footsteps approaching. She quickly got up and moved towards the door, her heart racing. Realizing the sound was getting closer, she rushed towards the basin, where a large mirror hung, and stood in front of it.
Rajveer's restless voice came from the ring again, "Biwii..Biwi.." but Ishqi's response was a hushed "shhhhh". The next moment, the sound of shattering glass filled the air.
Rajveer's grip on the phone tightened, his eyes closed in anguish. He felt powerless, knowing his life - his biwi - was trapped, and he wasn't there to protect her when she needed him most.
As the ring's activation allowed Rajveer to hear the events unfolding, Ishqi's bold move sent a shiver down his spine. She punched the mirror with all her might, shattering it into pieces. Her hand bled profusely as the door swung open, and a tall, masked man entered the washroom.
His voice was low and husky, sending a chill down Ishqi's spine. "Baby girl." The words hung in the air like a threat. Ishqi spun around, her eyes locking onto the masked man. She took a step back, colliding with the basin.
Rajveer's eyes snapped open, his ears perked up, as he listened intently to the conversation. His anger simmered, veins bulging, as he heard the masked man's voice. He was about to lash out in fury when he remembered he had to remain silent.
The masked man leaned in, his face inches from Ishqi's. She recoiled, her hands pushing against his chest. The chain around his neck touched the ring on Ishqi's finger, triggering a notification on Rajveer's phone.
He checked the message, his eyes widening as he saw the feed from the hidden camera in Ishqi's ring. The masked man's face was mere inches from Ishqi's, his eyes gleaming with malice. Rajveer's anger reached a boiling point as the masked man whispered something in Ishqi's ear, her eyes widening in shock.
Rajveer's face twisted in a snarl, his eyes blazing with fury. He was no longer the king of Rajasthan but a devil king risen from the depths of hell. His phone slipped into his pocket, he stepped out of the car, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
A menacing smile spread across his face as he gazed upon the mansion before him. His strides were long and purposeful, his eyes fixed on the mansion, as he began his march towards the heart of darkness.
"Ab tumhari biwi ko tumhare pas lane ka samay aa gaya hai,"
("It's time to bring back your wife,")
Rajveer muttered to himself, his voice dripping with malevolence. The air around him seemed to grow colder, as if the very darkness itself was responding to his presence.
The mansion loomed before him, its walls seeming to whisper tales of terror and despair. Rajveer's smile grew wider, his eyes burning with an inner fire. He was the devil himself, come to claim his wife and unleash hell upon those who dared to cross him.
The masked man's smirk grew wider as he gazed at Ishqi's terrified expression. He grasped her hand, his grip like a vice, and pulled her out of the washroom. Ishqi struggled against him, but her strength was no match for his.
He tossed her onto the bed, and Ishqi's eyes never left his face. He pulled out a first aid box from the drawer and began to bandage her wound with an unsettling gentleness. Ishqi's eyes were fixed on his, her mind racing with thoughts.
"Ye.. ye itna jana pehechana kyu lag raha hai... Kahin to dekha hai ise."
("Why does he seem so familiar? I've seen him somewhere before.")
The masked man's eyes flicked up to hers, and Ishqi felt a shiver run down her spine. "Done," he said, his low husky voice sending a tremor through her body.
As he put the first aid box away, his eyes fell upon the ring on Ishqi's finger. His expression darkened, and he shouted,
"MEERA...MEERA!"
Ishqi's eyes widened in terror as Meera, the maid, entered the room. Meera's eyes were downcast, and she trembled with fear.
"Ye...s y..es bo..ss," she stammered.
The masked man's voice was like thunder.
"YE RING ABHI THAK ISKE UNGLI ME KYA KAR RAHI HAI?"
("Why is this ring still on her finger?")
Meera cowered, her voice barely audible.
"Sir...sir .. wo actually utar nahi ra..hi boh..ut.. kosis ki..ya."
("Sir, I tried to remove it, but it wouldn't come off.")
The masked man's gaze shifted from the ring to Ishqi, and a strange, menacing smile spread across his face.
"Koi na ye subh kam mai khud hi karunga... Wo bhi mandap me."
("No matter, I'll take care of it myself... at the mandap.")
Ishqi's heart sank, and she felt a cold dread creeping up her spine. The masked man grasped her hand once more, pulling her out of the room with an unnerving strength.
