Chapter 40

/The first thing I did the next morning was calling Anne and Tessy and to tell them about yesterday. I knew they must be bonkers about how was my date.

"How was your date?" Tessy squealed in excitement.

See. I knew it.

"Good but there's a more important matter to discuss," I said solemnly.

"What?" Anne asked suddenly.

"Finnick came yesterday at my home. He was drunk and he told me that I would have to go for the movie premiere tomorrow and the movie will release tomorrow too."

"What! Movie premiere!" Anne exclaimed in disbelief while Tessy's excited voice came from the phone." I didn't know this movie thing would be a big affair!! Andrea! Can you believe it you will be a star..you will be in a movie!"

Earlier, I hadn't paid much attention to this matter but as they were reacting and saying this again and again, I understood how lucky I was.

All because of Finnick.

"Oh yes!" I replied with excitement in my voice. But then I remembered something. "I have to go with Finnick..all hardwork to ignore and forget him goes in vain..."

"You should actually thank him, Andrea! Do you realize your life might be completely changed from now on?" Anne's aroused voice reach my ears.

"Yeah! Oh my god I still can't believe it!" Tessy whimpered with excitement.

"Andreaaaaaaaaa! OH MY GOD!! How..when??" I hear my mom screaming. I got scared as panic hit me, thinking what the matter was. I ended the call hurriedly and went downstairs, seeing my mom frozen in front of the television.

"Mom? What?" I said, not able to comprehend what was wrong.

Her mouth was still opened wide with amazement and she pointed to the television, with her hand shaking.

I followed her gaze and my heart stopped beating. No wonder my mom screamed like this. Because on the television was a movie poster of Finnick and me, advertising to watch this film.

"Mom..I forgot to tell you.."I said, my voice still shaken from what I just saw.

"What Andrea? How did you..when..how did this happen? I open the television and see my daughter on a movie poster...just tell me everything!!" My mom said, while waving her hands in the air.

"Okay, I am telling you everything..."I said, going over to sit beside my mom.

After thirty minutes, my mom was staring at nothing, still trying to ansorb everything. I had told her everything from the starting to the end. How Finnick receieved notes for ransom till how we managed to rescue Harris.

"You went to kidnapper's place by lying to me? Andrea!" My mom spoke sternly.

"They were not real kidnappers, mom!" I told her, though I understood her concern. "They were just actors."

"Yeah yeah but still..promise you won't lie to me ever again, "My mom said, holding my hands and caressing my hair.

"Promise." I told her.

"Your life has changed completely..all due to Finnick. He is a blessing!" My mom said in a calm voice.

"Mom!" I screamed at her. "He left me."

"I know he loves you, darling. I can tell from everything you told me.." She said in a soothing voice.

"He doesn't." I muttered while getting up to go back upstairs to my room.

But as I thought of what my mom said, I started wondering was it possible? Could he secretly be in love with me?

No.

I am just brewing false hopes which are only going to cause pain afterwards.

I went to my room and opened whatsapp. It had been one hour since I had not used it.

I saw I had recieved a message from Finnick.

Two make-up artists and stylists will come tomorrow at three o'clock sharp to make you ready for the event.

In shock and disbelief, and excitement too, I forgot I was still angry with him..was I? So I typed out a reply to him.

Really? I cant believe this is really happening!

I received his reply after ten minutes. Such a slow-replyer he is..

You are not gonna believe so many things. Are you still angry with me?

I stared at his reply. His question had really left me pondering..was I angry with him or not? Sure, he left me, he lied to me, he played with my feelings but on the other side he didn't do it intentionally..it was for this movie which was about to change my life. I got the answer to my question. Slowly, I replied back to him.

Not really..

As he was still online, I got his reply soon enough.

Good..see you tomorrow. Bye

And he went offline.

I was chatting with a few people when I received a message from Anne.

Anne- What was that screaming when we were talking to you?

Me- My mom was screaming with shock as Finnick and me were on a movie poster on television.

Anne- lol..wait.You were on TV? OMG!

Me- I was also like OMG!

Anne-  You will be my famous friend.

Me- *rolls her eyes* You see that happening? I am still in shock about everything

Anne- Yeah.

Me-  I realized I am not angry at Finnick anymore

Anne- You shouldn't be too..whatever he did is going to change your life..

Me- But still we are not together..he is with another girl. This fact cant' be changed..and I want him badly now.

Anne- Hmm..we can only hope for the best.

Me- Yeah. Bye for now..

I was getting really excited for tomorrow. Even about the make-up artists and stylists part though as you know it already, I am not really fond of make-up and all. God knows how will everything turn up. Little did I know that everything would be changed for ever and it was going to be the best day of my life.

I was broken up from my reverie when my phone buzzed indicating I had recieved a message and knowing the whatsapp-addict I am, I checked it that instant.

It was from Anne.

Omg! Really you are all over the channels. People are excited to see your movie.*dead from excitement*

This girl.
