The next morning, I squealed and sprang from the bed with excitement. It was finally the 'Big Day'. My movie was going to release today..it feels so weird saying this even..my movie.
Time was passing even more slowly than usual and I was glancing at the wall-clock again and again, waiting for the stylists. Yes. I was actually eager.
The door-bell rang at three pm sharp. I ran and opened the door while trying to hide my excitement .I was greeted by two young women, who were about twenty-two years old.
"Greetings to Miss Andrea. May we come in?" One of them asked, all smiles.
"Of course," I said, letting them in and returning their smiles.
They came in dragging and carrying behind their baggages which must be surely filled with all sorts-of cosmetics and styling items etc.
I took them to my room and folded my hands against my check, waiting for them that what will they do first.
"First, we have to select your dress," The girl with ginger-colored hair said.
"Kindly choose from these dresses," The other with brown hair which orange streaks said, opening their baggages to display the dresses.
I looked at the dresses. Inside were the most beautiful dresses I had ever laid my eyes on. Such dresses were actually made by designers. They were all unique in their designs, and were the type of dresses, I had long admired, seeing the actresses wear them in award-functions and events. Too wear such a dress now myself was...over-whelming.
"This one is exceptionally gorgeous, "I said, pointing to a dress which had a tenuous shade of salmon.
"Ah! Pink Organza Gown by Dalia MacPhee. Good choice. Now you go and have a long long bath." One of them instructed to me in a sweet voice.
I did as I was told, slightly annoyed by how I had to take bath again. That gown was of Dalia MacPhee, one of the best lines of stunning gowns and dresses. I never even dreamt that I would be wearing its dress one day, for all its dresses and gowns are priced around $450 or $500.
Soon, I was standing and both of them were helping me wear the dress. I was turned around again and again as they adjusted and tightened the dress against my body.
Next, I was made to sit on a chair, facing the mirror as one of them did my hair and the other applied make-up on my face.
Ah. I hated getting dressing up like this but this time, I found myself enjoying every single bit of it. I closed my eyes as one of them applied eye-liner on my eyes with her precise and confident hands while the other straightened my hair.
My hair alone took one hour to style, and she slipped a pair of stilletoes on my feet. After two hours, I was finally told to open my eyes and look at myself in the mirror.
I looked at my reflection in complete bewilderment as I was not able to recognise myself in the mirror. I was completely transformed.
The dress which I was wearing was sleeveless with a thin strap of net running up to my left shoulder. The dress fit perfectly with my bodice, clutching all my curves in place and flowed down and spread into gentle ruffles at the bottom like a mermaid. My hair were made into a french bun which added grace to my look. I was thankful that I had nude and minimal make-up on which enabled my eyes and red lips to stand out. A cute and simple pair of long ear-rings gave attention to my face and I was wearing a white expensive-looking ring on my finger which completed my look.
Where was the girl who used to roam around wearing baggy shorts and messy tangled appearance? The one who didnt pay any attention to her look? The one who hated applying make-up and dressing up?
