The song for this chapter is "Jungle" by Tash Sultana :)

"Sitting tight with my black jeans on
And I'm paralysed make your way toward the sun
Got the palest soul you ever seen, oh darling
You might be the one
Sitting tight with my curly hair
And you're making your way with that sheepish stare
Said are you real, do you feel, are you there?"

There were five laps left in the London race. Sweat was quite literally nearly drowning me inside of my helmet. I mean, I guess that's better than the last incident I had with my helmet, right?

Things were going...well?

Which made me suspicious of course, but not as much as I would have thought. The longer this game of cat and mouse continued between us and Harvey, the more I felt I could intuitively pick up on his patterns. Something in my gut told me nothing was going to happen during the race tonight. Harvey didn't like to be predictable. He liked to be creative with the ways he psychologically messed with people.

No...tonight, the race actually felt like it may be the safest place we could be. As for what might happen after? Now that was what was making my stomach churn a bit more and more with each passing lap.

Alex, Harry, and myself, were all currently holding the first three places in the race. I was barely holding on in third while Alex and Harry battled in front of me for first place.

I honestly found it attractive that Harry didn't let his personal life interfere with his competitiveness. A few months ago, he couldn't stand Alex or even me. But now? I think Harry would go as far as to finally call Alex a friend.

Maybe I was less worried about Harry seriously injuring anyone anymore when he got into race mode, but I also know he would never take it easy on Alex, or me. And if he did? Well I would probably start a fight like we had never had before.

However...that didn't mean that I wasn't pissed as hell right now trying to fight my way to the front of the line...but, I was also extremely proud of Alex, he hadn't had a race this good in a while, and honestly, if I was going to be out-raced by anyone other than Harry, I was glad it was him.

Grant wasn't doing so bad himself, rocking fifth place for the last few laps. I could have sworn I heard Willa cheering shrilly for him every time we passed the section of the stands she and the rest of our group were sat in.

I was pissing my pants in excitement a bit that tonight I was driving the Ferrari 12Cilindri, which held a whopping 830 horsepower. I had tried to play it so cool when they gave me the keys to the car, but I couldn't help a couple of giggles that has slipped out, none of which went unnoticed by Harry, who smirked up at me as he took the keys to his Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16. A mouthful, and a force to be reckoned with. It kind of made me want to moan a little bit?

All of the drivers tonight were driving some of the most highly coveted vehicles. It was making me geek out a bit. But not enough that I would let my excitement interfere with my focus as I gripped the steering wheel, jerking the car around the various dips and curves of the complex road course.

"C'mon...C'mon," I urged my car, but there was only so much that I could do with the way that Alex and Harry were driving in front of me...if I stepped on the gas any more right now I'd risk wrecking us all out of the race. And I wanted to win, believe me, but we already had someone out to get us, I didn't need to add any more danger to our lives.

Alex and Harry were neck and neck, coming up on the last two laps...and I truly had no idea who was going to take the lead, or if it would end in a tie. Although I think Alex and Harry would rather go back to being enemies than agree to a tie with a friendly handshake.
