the song for this chapter is "Call Me," by Blondie :)
I picture Harry wearing that outfit also hehe***********
Harry
After Finley and I's rather...strenuous morning activities, we actually showered and got ready for our meeting with Leo.
Finley was wearing one of my cream-colored David Bowie shirts, tucking the front of it into a pair of light-wash wide-leg jeans, sitting on the edge of the bed and tugging on a pair of high-top Nike sneakers that had a red swoosh on the side, similar to a pair of my own. The red color complimented the red font that spelled out Bowie's name. She braided her hair into one long french braid that draped down her back.
"You look cute, Ziggy," I complimented, making her grin up at me.
"You do too, Stardust," she teased, allowing her eyes to take in my own outfit as we walked down the stairs and to the garage.
It was pretty casual for me, definitely different than what I would usually wear to a meeting with Leo.
A white graphic tee that I found at some random thrift store a few years back, a black pair of loose-fitting trousers, white vans, and a pair of yellow sunglasses.
"You wanna drive? Or do you want me to?" I asked, scooping up the keys to her car off of the table next to the door.
"I'll drive," she replied quickly, making me smile. She felt good enough to drive today. It was a small victory, but with everything that had been going on lately, I'd take anything that I could get.
"Sounds good," I replied as nonchalantly as possible, dropping the keys down into her outstretched palm with a smile.
"Should I be worried about these races?" she questioned, already grabbing the door handle and twisting it open before I even had the chance to open it for her, breezing past me and into the garage, clicking the garage door open like she had lived here her whole life.
She made a place that had always seemed like a temporary living situation feel like home to me.
Fine. I'll allow you to say "aw" just this once. Please, get it out of your systems before I change my mind.
Are we good now?
Let's continue.
"No...maybe...I don't think so?" I laughed in a questioning tone.
Finley weaved through the garage and unlocked her car with a small grin on her face. I followed suit and delicately opened the door, allowing my tall frame to slouch down against the plush leather seats.
She raised an eyebrow at me as she started the car, the engine humming to life underneath us.
"Well, that was reassuring," she replied sarcastically.
I reached my hand over and placed it on her thigh, squeezing at it gently.
"Okay, I'm messing with you, you. don't have anything to worry about," I assured her as she began to back the car out of the driveway, a few pieces of hair coming loose from her braid and framing her face.
"Will you put some music on?" She requested, pulling out into the street.
"You're giving me the honor of selecting the music again?" I gasped dramatically, making her roll her eyes.
"Don't make me change my mind," she warned with a teasing grin.
I smirked and reached for the glove compartment, pressing it open and taking my hand off of her thigh in order to sift through the seemingly endless amounts of mixtapes she had crammed in there.
