A/N POV

Y/n shifted beneath the warmth of the morning light that had finally found its way through the curtains, a thin golden streak falling across her face

She blinked once, then again, before finally allowing her eyes to adjust to the brightness.

Sitting up, she stretched her arms lightly above her head, still caught somewhere between sleep and wakefulness.

Her gaze instinctively drifted toward the other side of the bed, only to find the sheets empty and slightly disturbed.

Brushing the thought aside, she was about to get up when the bathroom door suddenly opened and she stopped.

Jungkook stepped out, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, water still glistening across his tattooed upper body

Droplets travelled lazily down his shoulders and chest, disappearing beneath the edge of the towel, while his damp hair clung messily to his forehead and the back of his neck.

Y/n's jaw dropped slightly. She had seen him shirtless before, obviously, but seeing him like this first thing in the morning felt unfair in a way she wasn't prepared to deal with.

The man looked annoyingly good, perhaps too good.

And judging by the way her eyes had wandered down his body and stayed there for far too long, she wasn't exactly doing a great job pretending otherwise.

What she failed to notice was the faint amusement that had already settled across Jungkook's face.

"My eyes are up here, princess."

His voice snapped her back to reality. Y/n immediately dragged her gaze upward, meeting his eyes only to find that teasing smirk waiting for her.

She swallowed.

The towel around his waist suddenly became far too noticeable, especially with the way it clung to him as though it was fighting for its life.

She bit the inside of her cheek and quickly got out of bed, walking toward him until she stopped a few steps away.

"I wasn't looking."

She folded her arms across her chest, trying to sound convincing. She wasn't going to admit anything.

Not when a small, traitorous part of her mind was already wondering what would happen if that towel decided to give up.

Jungkook took one slow step toward her. Her composure cracked almost immediately.

Y/n instinctively stepped back, her folded arms falling apart as her hands dropped to her sides. She swallowed again, watching him approach with that same maddening calmness.

Another step. One more, and she would be right in his arms.

She raised a hand, ready to stop him, but before she could say anything, a knock sounded against the bedroom door.

Y/n almost sighed in relief but Jungkook didn't even look away from her, instead

"Go away."

Y/n's head snapped toward him in disbelief. Was he serious?

She turned back to him, only to realize that while she'd been distracted by the door, he had already closed the distance between them.

The moment she turned fully, her body collided with his.

Her muscles tensed at the sudden warmth of his bare chest against her, her hands immediately finding his shoulders as she tried to steady herself.

The close proximity made her painfully aware of every inch of him, and she forced herself to keep her eyes on his face.
