The cold air burned against Y/n's lungs as she kept running, her footsteps stumbling over the uneven forest ground while branches scratched against her skin

Her breathing came out broken and uneven, every inhale hurting more than the last

The forest remained silent around her

Y/n suddenly stumbled hard, her knees crashing against the damp ground as a painful gasp left her lips. One hand immediately pressed against her head while the other dug into the dirt beneath her, trying to steady herself, but the images only grew worse

her hands trembled uncontrollably in front of her while she stared at them blankly

The visions.

She replayed them again in her head, the one that had her head throbbing when she finally saw that man falling on to the ground when she pulled that trigger

She didn't run because of what she did, but becaue of the overwhelming flashback that hit her head all at once

Blood, there was so much blood everywhere and bodies that lied motionless around her, in the vision the gun had slipped from her hands the moment she was back into her senses

All she did was stand and stare, Too many bodies laying across a dark floor

A scream echoed somewhere in her head, muffled and distorted, she couldn't tell if it belonged to someone else or herself

Y/n shut her eyes tightly, but the visions only flashed stronger behind her eyelids now.

All she could see was a younger version of her trembling violently and blood smeared across her fingers

Someone grabbed her wrists pulling her into darkness once again

She opened her eyes and she was back into reality but somehow she was in the same nightmare, same vision

the man on the left laid motionless on the forest ground, the trigger hit his chest in a perfect shot, she looked down at her hands just as immediately but there was no blood this time and Jungkook was approaching her slowly from behind

"No..." she whispered weakly

She closed her eyes once again, and when she opened all she could see was the grey sky filled with canopy of trees that surrounded her, while she laid on the ground

Her chest tightened painfully as she raised her hands to look at them again, confirming she was in reality and not in her visions anymore

Tears finally slipped uncontrollably down her face, but she didn't scream. She simply let them fall in silence while her breathing remained unstable

Everything inside her head felt shattered and disconnected

Like pieces of something horrifying trying to force themselves back together after being buried for too long
