"Sleep while you still can, sweetheart."

Y/n's fingers trembled. A cold shiver ran down her spine as she read the sentence again

The bouquet slipped from her hands and landed on the floor with a dull thud, petals scattering across the wooden floor. Her heartbeat picked up so fast that she could hear it ringing in her ears

Almost instinctively, she hurried toward the large window overlooking the front gates of the mansion.

She knew exactly who this was from.

A familiar fear slowly settled into her chest, wrapping around her like invisible hands. Goosebumps spread across her arms as her eyes searched every corner of the estate, moving from the driveway to the gardens and finally toward the rows of trees standing beyond the gates

Nothing. The darkness swallowed everything beyond them.

Still...She couldn't shake the feeling. The feeling that someone had been watching her

Watching long enough to know she wasn't at the Jeon mansion tonight.

Her gaze slowly dropped back to the note still clutched tightly in her hand. Her fingers curled around the paper until it crumpled beneath the pressure.

The bouquet had reached her. Which meant they knew exactly where she was.

Jungkook had been right, even though she would hate to admit this

As long as she stayed inside the Jeon estate, nobody could reach her. Breaking into that place was nearly impossible. The security alone was enough to stop anyone long before they got close

But here... things were different. Even with guards surrounding her parents' estate, someone had still managed to leave flowers at the front gate

That thought unsettled her more than the note itself.

She quickly shut the window and pulled the curtains together, blocking out the darkness beyond the glass. The room instantly felt smaller. The only light left came from the bedside lamp, casting long shadows across the walls.

Her own shadow caught her attention for a brief second, making her heart skip before she forced herself to look away.

She hated this. Hated feeling afraid inside a place that had once been her safest home

Taking a slow breath, she walked back toward the bouquet lying on the floor. She crouched down, picked it up carefully, and without sparing it another glance, dropped the entire thing into the trash bin.

Only the note remained in her hand.

She climbed back onto the bed and reached for her phone. After taking a picture of the message, her thumb hovered over Jungkook's chat.

She hesitated.

She already knew what would happen if she send this to jungkook, He would be here within minutes

Her eyes lingered on his name for another few seconds before she quietly locked the screen.

No.

She would tell him tomorrow in person and not over a text in the middle of the night

......

The room remained dim, lit only by the city lights slipping through the floor to ceiling windows.

The office overlooked it, but neither man paid any attention to the thousands of lights scattered below. Night had swallowed most of Seoul already, leaving only the glow of distant buildings filtering through the tall glass windows
