A/n pov
"So he is finally dead"
Mr Jeon sipped his wine before leaning back looking at Jungkook who sat beside him, while Jungkook just gave him a curt nod, his jaw clenched tight
"It took you long enough"
"Not longer than you" Jungkook's fist tightened as he breathed out, he never liked to mention about his mom or sister, not in the presence of his dad
"I did what I had to do, Something you should've done years ago"
"Careful when you speak to me Jungkook" Mr. Jeon's eyes narrowed, his expression hardening
An internal scoff rose within Jungkook, though he kept his face composed, it enraged him how his dad never thought about taking revenge against his wife's and daughter's killer, was their death that insignificant to him?
"How is your wife" his gaze still sharp, as he suddenly asked about Y/n
Jungkook's eyes flicked up, confusion clouding his features, "What about her?"
Mr. Jeon didn't break eye contact, "When is she going to bear an heir for the Jeons?"
The question hung in the air, stark and demanding, Jungkook's eyes darkened, a hint of a dangerous edge flashing within them
Mr Jeon studied his son's face, before he spoke again
"As my son, I expect you to uphold our name and ensure our bloodline continues"
Jungkook's hands tightened at his sides
"She'll bear an heir, when I want her to, you can keep yourself out of it Dad"
Mr Jeon smirked, while his fingers played on the glass of wine he had before gulping it down
"In that case, the soon the better"
Meanwhile
At Jungkook's Mansion
Y/n paced back and forth across the vast bedroom, her bare feet sinking into the plush carpet, yet the comfort of the room did nothing to ease the storm raging within her.
Her heart pounded, the echoes of last night's events refusing to leave her mind. The suffocating silence of the mansion only made it worse
Jungkook hadn't returned since he left her hanging last night, And honestly, she didn't wanted to see him either. The mere thought of facing him made her stomach twist in knots, fear coiling around her
But no matter how much she tried to push it away, the image of Kang Ji-hoon's lifeless body with blood pooling around him, thick and dark, staining her hands, wouldn't leave her mind
Her breaths came in uneven, as she clenched her fists tight around her skirt, staying in this mansion was suffocating her
She needed to get out
Running away was impossible-she knew that. Jungkook would find her, and if he did, she didn't even want to imagine what he'd do. But staying here, trapped in this mansion was pushing her over the edge
Maybe... maybe if she could just see her parents-maybe then, she could breathe again
But Sheldon would never take her anywhere without Jungkook's permission. And the last thing she wanted was for Jungkook to know where she was going
She took a deep breath, pushing open the bedroom door as she stepped into the dimly lit hallway. Her eyes flickered around, scanning for any guards stationed nearby
