"Tell me everything you know about him"
Jungkook's voice cut through the silent office of Mr Lee as he threw a picture and a file onto the table in front of him. The old man flinched slightly at the sudden presence and outburst of Jungkook, his eyes flickering between him and the photograph
"Xavier Romano?" Mr Lee muttered, eyes scanning the name written on the file, but confusion washed over his features
His eyes scanning the sharp face in the photo, brows furrowing deeper. "What do you want to know?"
"What do you know about his connection with Daniel?" Jungkook's tone was cold, impatient, his gaze locked onto Mr Lee like a predator waiting to strike.
"I doubt I know anything about this man, Jungkook" Mr Lee's voice came out low, uneasy under Jungkook's heavy stare. "If you could explain how he connects to Daniel-"
"Are you saying that five years ago, when you saved Y/n from Daniel, you had never seen or encountered him?" Jungkook cut him off sharply, his jaw ticking with rage he barely held back
"Yes... I haven't." Mr Lee shifted in his seat, his chest tightening with unease. Jungkook showing up here, in his office in Busan without any prior notice... it could only mean things were spiralling fast
"Did Y/n mention this man to you?" Mr Lee asked, his voice lowering dangerously
Jungkook didn't say anything for moment, his gaze drifting to the side, lost in thought at the mention of her name. There was a flicker of something dark in his eyes, something Mr Lee couldn't read
"No... but she will soon" He suddenly spoke, his attention suddenly turning towards Mr Lee again
With that, Jungkook stood up, his chair scraping back sharply against the marble floor. He turned to leave but paused at the door, his broad frame filling the dark hallway behind him as he glanced back
"Like I said... what we need is her memory, And right now..." His gaze sharpened, rage flickering dangerously beneath his calm expression. "It seems like we might need it sooner than I planned"
Without another word, he walked out, The door clicked shut behind.. the echo of his footsteps lingering long after he disappeared down the corridor
A heavy silence pressed against Mr Lee's chest but his eyes remained on the photograph Jungkook had thrown, Xavier Romano's face staring back at him with a smirk frozen in time
His hands trembled slightly as he picked up the picture, a deep frown etching into his tired features. He leaned back against his chair, exhaling a shaky breath he hadn't realized he was holding
Y/n... why is it always her...A flicker of pain crossed his eyes as he closed them for a moment, pushing down the ache in his chest. He had fought so hard to keep her away from that world, to keep her hidden, to keep her alive
Now... Somehow everything was unravelling again coming back at her and for the first time in years, he could feel the familiar fear twisting in his gut again

"Are you really here, Y/n?"
Kevin's voice cut through the training room like a blade, snapping her back from wherever her thoughts were drifting off to
She blinked, staring at him with wide eyes, her gloves hanging uselessly by her side
After leaving training midway yesterday, she thought she was in the right headspace to continue today, but Kevin's endless mumbling about punches and defensive tricks only blurred into background noise as her mind kept wandering back... to that kiss
