Chapter 5: Her last entry

After the two alight from the car, Kris began to ask," Take the trip as an off day. I'll just call you if there's anything." Baekhyun was still in a daze. He said in a deep and sad tone," Aren't you curious about me and my brother?"

Kris sighs and said," I won't ask. But of you want to tell me, I'm all ears." Baekhyun looked at Kris and said," My brother don't like the idea of me becoming a detective. However my little sister supports me. It's been three years since I've seen her." Kris smiled and said," You missed her." Baekhyun looks out of the window and said," Of course."

Once they've reached home, Baekhyun went straight to his room. Kris, on the other hand, observed Baekhyun's movements. Kris is worried that his reunion with his brother would effect both his work and his feelings. Baekhyun closed the door and threw his bag in rage. He's angry, he's in rage, he's furious with his brother. He looked at the mirror. He closer and closer so that he can see his reflection in the semi dark room. He ruffled his hair and muttered," The colour is fading."

He opened up his bag and took out the ointment that Kai had given him. He opened it and applied it at the bruise that his brother gave him.

The next day went by fast. Before Baekhyun knew it, it is already the last lesson of the day. Baekhyun excused himself to go the restroom. On the other hand, Kai noticed Baekhyun's gloominess the entire day. Baekhyun went downstairs to the freshman section. He went passed a classroom, hoping that he could see his sister. Unfortunately, she wasn't there. Disappointment and Fear took over him. Dissapointed because he could'nt see her. Fear because of her safety. As he made his way back to class, he heard someone calling him," Excuse me."

Baekhyun turned and saw a girl. A girl who is the splitting image of his mother. In a glimpse, he knew that's Mimi or Byun Min Young, his beloved little sister. Baekhyun's voice cracked as he replied," Yes, can I help you?"

Min Young smiled at him and said," It's just that. You're look like my brother. But then again. He might be working now, not in high school." Baekhyun laughed awkwardly as he walked quickly away from the scene. Min Young was calling him, asking for his name but he chose to ignore her calls. He made his way to the hall ways.

Baekhyun leaned against the wall for support as his legs are weak from his sister's presence. He slowly sat down. He began to teared up and said," You've grown into a pretty princess, Mimi ah."

Just then, someone came and sat beside him. He turned and saw Kai sitting beside him. Kai sighed and asked," Who is she?"

Baekhyun looks down and answered," My sister. My real sister. It has been three years since I last saw her. I've been living with Kris hyung. Even he just found out I got a sister."

Kai smiled and said," So you two aren't real brothers. That explains why you two don't look alike." Baekhyun grin slightly and said," He's Chinese. I'm Korean but he acts more like a big brother rather than my real one." Kai leaned against the wall and said," The line of work we do, better as a gangster, mafia or even the police is very dangerous. You're somehow protecting her."

Baekhyun sighed and said," I know."
