She carefully grips the cup of steaming coffee, the ceramic almost too hot against her hands. Her eyes slowly look out to the window as she notices more leaves falling, the beautiful shades of crimson, yellow and orange floating down from the trees, scattering throughout the backyard. The crisp smell of the autumn air fills her nose as she takes a deep breath, the cool air refreshing her lungs. Light footsteps could be heard behind you in the kitchen, and before she knows it a pair of cold hands wrap around your waist, startling her.
"I missed you outside Y/N." Michael pouts, his mouth making an over exaggerated frowny face. He instantly sets his head in the crook of her neck, his chilly nose suddenly turning warm in her collarbone. She sets the mug down just before he turns her around to see him. His face is blush red from the cool air outside, considering he had been raking leaves. Michael keeps his arms wrapped around her waist as she reaches up and cup his cheeks with her warm and delicate hands, instantly making him smile. His head leans against hers as she looks into his jade green eyes, the irises almost glimmering as he looks at her, as if she's his world. Michael places a light kiss on her head, his lips barely touching her temple.
"And Y/N, what have you been doing?" Michael twists her around again so that her back is against his stomach. As he talks, he toys with the soft material of her sweater, the blue fabric gentle against her skin.
"Making coffee." She gives a light laugh, one that makes him crazy about her.
"Ah. Got any for me?" His thumb begins to rub circles on her palm, easing her nerves.
"Sorry Michael, none left. But I can make you some!" Y/N insists, her beautiful smile returning. He nods, pulling away from her. As Y/N puts in all of the ingredients to start brewing, Michael can't seem to stop staring her. She is so perfect in his eyes, and no one could ever replace her. She turns around and flashes him a bright smile, and he flashes a cheesy one back. Y/N moves back over to Michael without saying a word.
"What do we do now?" She asks, holding Michael's small hands in her petite ones. He moves forward, pressing his soft lips to hers. They instantly mold together, as if they were meant for one another. She smiles as Michael deepens the kiss, supporting the small of her back with one of his hands. Y/N steps backwards toward the patio door, and fiddles with the latch as she tries to get the sliding glass open. Michael's lips are still attached to hers, not wanting to pull away. She finally gets the door open, and they separate from one another. She grips Michael's arm tight as she motions him over to the couch on the screened-in porch. Michael slowly sits in the couch, patting the spot next to him so she can sit down in the spot next to his. Slowly she abides, nodding her head and plopping down beside him. He kisses the top of her head, and encases her in a hug. After a couple minutes of them sitting down on the sofa enjoying the fall air, Y/N gets up to pour Michael's coffee. The cup is scalding in her hands as she gives it to Michael, careful not to spill any. Michael gives her a thanks for her kind gesture, then settles down. His lips lightly rest against the mug as he drinks some of the hot coffee, the liquid almost burning his throat.
"Thanks Y/N. But I'm still cold." He crosses his arms and shakes his head in an attempt to get her to warm him up.
"Oh is that so? Well I guess I am a little chilly myself." She laughs. Michael lays on his side, his feet stretched out to the other side of the couch. He pats the spot in front of him, and Y/N curls into his lap. He drapes his arm over her stomach, the warmth good against his frigid body. He runs his fingers through her smooth, fragile hair, careful not to hurt her. She slowly turns around and looks up at Michael, craning her neck up to kiss him again. This one is light, but still passionate. She giggles, hiding her face in Michael's chest, only causing him to giggle too. She can feel his vibrations in her stomach, the feeling making her content. She can barely pick up his heartbeat, but when she does, it calms her. The steady beat of Michael encrypted in her mind, something she can always remember. She slowly rolls back around as her feet get intertwined with his, and he traps her feet in his big ones, laughing when she tries to squirm out from under him. Michael slowly sets his hands on her hips, eventually rubbing his thumbs in circles against her skin, just the way she likes. His hand traces up her bare back from under her sweatshirt, and she takes a deep breath, Michael's hands feeling good against her skin. He wraps both of his hands against her bare stomach, the heat encasing them both. She nuzzles into him, and he peppers light kisses on her neck. The cool fall wind blows around them, but they are cozy now that they have each other. Michael slowly props his head up, and pushes a strand of her hair back.
"I love you Y/N." He whispers, only to see a smile escape from her mouth.
"I love you too Michael." She holds his hand and listens to his heartbeat again, the constant rhythm slowing her breathing down to match his. As his heartbeat continues on, she closes her eyes and exhales, truly realizing Michael is her home.
