Emilina POV

I watched as the chief and Wyatt walked away. I'm scared of what will happen tonight and what Wyatt will think or do when he finds out about me. I'm not a shifter, well not like them. When I changed, my hair turns snow white while my eyes stay the same and I have a beautiful set of rainbow colored wing. No one knows about this, I want to tell Paul and Wyatt but I'm scared. I saw Mrs. Sulavan and Kamama standing with some other women talking.

"I need to talk to your mom and Kamama for a little bit. Don't forget to be at the chief's tepee before sunset." I gave him a kiss on the cheek and took off running. After a few moments, I noticed he was not following me so I stopped running.

"Sister", was all I heard as Kamama grabbed me into a huge hug.

That was the first time I heard her speak English. I looked at Mrs. Sulavan as she was laughing.

"Come on girls we have to get ready." She calls to us.

"What's going on?" I asked her.

"The whole village is getting ready for the celebration tonight. Didn't Mr. Sulavan or one of the boys tell you?" She asked me.

I start to shake my head then I remember Onacona said something about it. "Oh, yes the old man told me." As I said that, she looked at me very upset.

"Emilina you know better than that. He is an elder and a wise man you must show respect." Mrs. Sulavan said to me very sternly.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled and hung my head low as I followed her into the tepee.

She was humming as she pulled a dress out and held it up to me. "Yes, this should fit you just perfect." She said with a smile on her face.

"Um, Mrs. Sulavan you do know I will not be at the ceremony tonight correct?" I asked her. She turned, looking at me a little confused then laughed.

"Oh yes I know, you have your vision quest tonight." She said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Next thing I know she hands Kamama a bundle of cloths and she leave. I wanted to ask where she was going but she was back before I could ask.

"Here let me help you." Mrs. Sulavan said as I was trying to figure out how to put on the outfit.

Kamama was sitting to one side giggling at us. I was getting upset because I could not get it to look right.

"Stay still so I can help you." Mrs. Sulavan said as I felt a small hand on my shoulder and I froze.

With two swift moves, Kamama had the dress fixed and it fit me perfectly. She hands me a pair of leggings and shows me how to put them on. Mrs. Sulavan plated our hair. It was getting late as we headed to the chief's tepee. There was so many people and wolves around. I was starting to get nervous.

"It will be okay. I will be with you every step of the way." I heard Paul's voice in my head.

"Where are you?" I asked him.

"I am here, I will meet you at the entrance so don't worry so much." He said with a little laughter in his voice.

I couldn't help the feelings that overcome me. It was as if all at once I was happy, sad, disappointed, excited and mad.

"Why do I fell this way?" I ask myself aloud.

The chief looked at me; I could see the worrisome look in his eyes.
