Emilina POV
The lights first went to the rock Little Bird kicked over, it looked as if they were fixing the roof of a house. One kept moving, like someone pacing nervously, between the group with the rock and us. After they finished fixing the rock, the lights flew at Little Bird like bees attacking someone. Not meaning to, she stepped inside the ring also.
"Why did you have to do that?" She asked the lights.
They started going around the ring of toadstools (mushrooms) we were standing. Before long there, lights were one solid ring. They started separating making their light ring taller. I starting getting dizzy and did not want to be inside the ring any longer. It felt like someone pushed me backwards as I got close to the side of the ring almost ready to step out. I fell backwards but landing on my butt did not stop the falling. Everything started getting dark as I felt Little Bird grab and hold on to me for everything she was worth.
When we woke up, we were inside a room. The walls were an off-white color with red and brown streaks on them. We were lying on the soft ground, it felt like squishy moss covering the softest sand in the world. I didn't want to get up but I knew that we needed to find out where we are.
"Little Bird, are you okay?" She was sitting with her back to me and it sounded like she was crying.
She turned to face me and I knew I was right she had red streaks down her face from her tears. I crawled over to her and pulled her into my arms, just holding her so she knew everything would be okay. We sat there until she pulled away from me, cleaning her face as she stands up.
"We have got to find out where we are and how to get home." She said and started walking to a door.
I stood to follow her as the door opened and in walked a woman just a little taller the Little Bird but not much. She was caring a try of food and a two water jugs. She placed them on the table and turned to leave.
"Wait, can you please tell us where we are?" I asked quickly hoping she would tell us something.
"You are in the home of the High Lord and Lady. You were found in the field of sleeping flowers." She said and left the room.
I looked over to Little Bird as she started eating some berries and bread. I joined her before she ended up eating it all. Not long after we finished eating the same woman came in to collect the dishes.
"We would like to talk with the High Lord and Lady if you would kindly let them know." I said as she walked out the door.
A few minutes later, a Woman walked into the room with two guards following her. She was dressed in very elegant robes, so I knew right away that she was the High Lady the serving woman told us about. I was being respectful and lower my eyes from the woman when I heard her scuffed. My head popped up and I was staring her straight in her eyes.
"See, I told you they were nothing but common." She told one of the guards but he did not reply. "They think you might be something special and that is why the Little People did not kill you in the meadow." She was looking directly at me.
"She is special, she is royalty." I heard Little Bird say from behind me.
"She can't be royalty look at how she is dressed or should I say not dressed." The woman was laughing at me and I was starting to get very angry.
"You will not talk to my sister like that." I said but it did not sound like my voice. "I was trying to be respectful towards you when I did not make eye contact with you. You have done nothing since you walked into this room but disrespect both my sister and myself." I don't know where this anger was coming from but this woman was going to get the full blow of it.
