Chapter 23

Emilina POV

I never saw Mother Rosealee shift before she is so beautiful. The boys surprised us all also, they just ran right in to protect her from everyone. They did not care how many they were facing; my brave boys made me so proud. I know Alpha Adahy has feelings towards her just as she has the same feelings towards him; even if they did just met for the first time less than twenty-four hours ago.

I kept pulling them behind me until we are by the lake I was at earlier with everyone. As we left the camp, I had asked Kamama to get the others and meet us at the lake; make sure she brought baby girl and the boys come too. She laughed at my last request saying the boys "stole" baby girl from her and where following us quietly. I could not help but laugh myself as she showed me how they got the baby from her.

"Okay, before the others get here I need you two to make a promise that whatever is said from now until we reenter camp stays just between us." I look at them waiting for them to answer.

"I give you my word that I will not tell anyone about anything." Rosealee says as I turn to Adahy.

"You keep secrets from your people; Inoli I thought you of all people would never keep a secret from others." Alpha Adahy says with disappointment in his voice.

"I'm not keeping secrets from them but we are plaining something big for everyone and I want it to be a surprise for them." I tell him, as I look at the ground ashamed that I had even one secret that I could not tell anyone yet.

"I am sorry I did not mean to make you feel bad. I thought you were keeping something important from them." He said as he pulls me in his arms for a hug. "I give my word I will not breathe a word to anyone." He says as Wyatt and the rest walk into the clearing.

"Okay, before they get over here shh...watch Wyatt's face this is a joke." I say very quietly.

Little Bear and Soaring Eagle come running full blast to me. I saw what looked like a rag hanging out of Soaring Eagle mouth; but realized it was the blanket baby girl was in and I started to panic. Paul rushed to me to see what the matter was as I fell to the ground. I did not faint or pass out for my eyes where still open; I just sat down ready for the worst.

"Inoli, what is wrong?" Adahy asked his voice sounding very much like a worried father.

"She is safe; do not cry; she is not hurt please; please I'm sorry. Do not cry." I heard Soaring Eagle's voice as he set the baby in my lap.

How could I have thought something would have happened to her? I asked myself. These boys love her and would protect her from anything and everything that they can. I can not believe myself sometimes. I reach and take his hand before he can get away from me. They both start to cry; they think they are in trouble.

Rosealee takes the sleeping baby out of my lap as I pull Soaring Eagle into my lap. I wrap my arms around him as Little Bear comes closer to us. I hold my hand out to him both our faces red with streaks of tears. He takes my hand and come to sit beside me; but I end up pulling him into my lap also. I hold them to me letting them know that I love them so much. As I release them, I hear little hiccups from Soaring Eagle.

"I'm sorry for scaring you like that we did not mean to. We were trying to beat Uncle Wyatt and Uncle Grant to you because they said we were to slow and should get piggy back rides from them. I didn't want to hand baby sister to anyone because I wanted to carry her." Soaring Eagle said while shifting himself out of my lap.

"You have no reason to be sorry. I over reacted; I should of remembered them many, many times you carried Little Bear the same way. Always scaring whoever was around at the time." I started laughing as I remembered a few of them times.
