Chapter 32

Emilina POV

I knew something was going on as soon as I picked up Lilly, I thought it was Lilly but her blanket was empty. I knew right then Little Bear was playing with his little sister. I looked around but did not see them anywhere.

"Okay Little Bear, where are you and you better hope Lilly is not dirty." I yelled showing Momma Rosealee the empty baby blanket.

The others joined us as we looked around for them. Momma Rosealee along with Wyatt and Alpha Adahy were still in their ware forms and was trying to track him. There was so many smells covering Little Bears it was hard for them at first.

"Right before I changed I started smelling something that I can't explain. I tried to explain it to Grammie Rosealee but she didn't know what it was either." Sarah said from beside me.

"Do you smell it now?" I asked, as I looked at her a little surprised.

"No, but maybe if I change again I can smell it." She said with a little hopefulness in her voice.

"I take it you like being a panther?" I asked trying not to giggle.

"It's amazing, I feel so wild and free. As if, no one can ever hurt me again. I just feel so strong." She was telling me as her eyes got very big andher cheeks got a slight red tint to them. She nodded and looked back up at me.

"Yes, go help them find your little brother and sister." I said and she took off shifting as she ran.

I watched her and then realized that I didn't have any cloths for her after she shifted, of course no one knew she would shift. But she was just beside me dressed and her cloths did not rip off her. I linked Momma Rosealee and Paul letting them know Sarah was helping them. Paul came running by me as fast as he could, then I heard a small voice in my head calling to me. I ran as fast as I could but soon my feet were off the ground and I was flying.

I come in to the clearing to see Little Bear standing over Lilly. He looked as if he was a furious ball of fur. He was watching something in the trees and was growling at whatever was there. I linked the others telling them where we were. Sarah came to a stop next to me while Shaylee stood on my other side. I reached out with my mind touching Little Bears lightly, not wanting to scare him.

I was looking through his eyes, there's a shadow just inside the trees. It's tall with eyes burning like two orbs of fire. It makes me feel weak and scared, not wanting to have my feelings reflect as his own I pulled out of his mind. I call out to him but he doesn't respond. I hear the others as they finally get to us. Soaring Eagle lets out a huge bear growl, making me jump a little. Without taking his eyes off the shadow Little Bear answers is brother with a low warning growl of his own.

A slight movement under Little Bear catches my eyes as I notice Lilly grabbing hands full of his fur. I guess the shadow noticed the movement also because it vanished into a wisp of smoke. I stepped forward slowly as I started talking to Little Bear and Lilly trying to get one of them to look at me. Little Bear stood in the same spot not taking his eyes off the trees. Just as fast as the shadow left it was back but this time it was not a shadow anymore.

"I see you have been a very busy little girl, Emilina. Or should I say young lady since you are of age now." The woman said as she stepped out of the trees.

I know her voice; I was trying to think of who she was and how she knew me. I asked Wyatt through our mind link but he did not respond. She took another step forward and I took two.

"I see I should not have trusted that stupid bear or that rouge to finish the job. No matter you will not defeat me, you don't have the key." She said with a smug look on her face.
