Wyatt POV

I was sitting there holding my sister crying like a child. Why did she have to save me? Why did she have to give her life to save mine? I was screaming at the moon; asking the Goddess to bring her back to me...to us. I felt Kamama place her hand on my shoulder as she sat beside me. But I did not look in her direction; I couldn't stop thinking of losing my sister. Truth be told I never got over losing our parents.

The wind started picking up, swirling around us. As it got stronger it started picking up bits and pieces of the lose earth around us. I could hear people screaming and others trying to reach us only to be stopped by the vortex of wind and earth around us. It kept building up speed and picking up more and more pieces of the earth. I looked at the "wall" in front of me as a tree went by; it was as if we were sitting inside a tornado.

I had to close my eyes as the dirt started getting thicker around us. I pulled Kamama to me pushing her head down into Emilina's chest and leaned over both of them; trying to protect them from the wind and earth around us. I heard Kamama gasp as I did this; thinking it was just from the shock I did not let her move away from us.

All of a sudden, the noise stopped and there was a bright light that penetrated my eye lids. I slowly rose up and blinked a few times to adjust my eyes to the light. I saw the "wall" still around us but all was quiet. The light was a direct beam of moon light that covered us. I watched as a woman stepped into the vortex with us.

She was dressed in a white buffalo hide dress with a single golden feather in her raven black hair. I could not see her face because the light shown behind her had it in a shadow. She reached her hand and touched Kamama's cheek. Kamama's smile radiated brightly at the woman's actions.

"My daughter you will be a great Clan Mother. I know you will do great things for your people and for your land. You are blessed with a kind heart and the strength of the mighty Red Oak." The woman's voice sounded so sweet. She then turned to me, still sitting on my knees holding Emilina in my lap. "Dear brave warrior, your sister is not dead or dying anytime soon. She is merely asleep and will wake soon; so dry your tears and be strong for her and your mate." She gently placed her hand on my head as I closed my eyes.

I felt her powers wash away all my worry and sadness. I felt as if all the troubled times in my life was nothing but a dream. I looked up at her and smiled; I smiled a true smile one that I had not shown in many years to anyone. Emilina shifted in my arms and I looked down at her very quickly. Her eyes were open and she was looking directly at the woman.

"Mother," she said with a gasp.

"I guess in a way you can say that but I am not who gave birth to you my child." The woman's voice sounded broken. "I am sorry for I could not save your parents and you too. Believe me I tried so hard to keep them safe as long as I could." She then looked towards the woman's body that was lying outside the wall of wind and earth. "She was a strong one but she was just a puppet as where the rest." She kneeled down in front of us and took Emilina's hand into her own.

"I do not understand," Emilina's voice cracked as she spoke.

"There are more people like her in this world and you will meet a lot of them throughout your lives. But you will always be blessed my child for you have a gift just as your mother did before you." Her eyes held unshed tears and her voice was full of regret. "I can give you one thing that you do want; I can give you answers to some of your questions but not all of them. There are some things better left alone for now." She told us as she stood back up.
