Sunday: The last day of the trip.
Megan’s POV
I went down stairs, it was about noon, and everyone was eating Mc Donald’s in the dining room. I sat on Jacoby’s lap and he had chicken nugget and fries for me. So what are we doing today, I asked Jacoby. Today we are racing four wheelers, he said. Caitlyn’s eyes got big, reminding me of a time in the summer of 2011. Sounds cool, do I get to ride with you, I said. Yup and Caitlyn rides with Brian, he said. When do we leave, Caitlyn asked. After we finish lunch, he said. We went upstairs to go get dress.
Are you Jacoby, a man asked behind the counter. Yes, I rented two four wheelers today, Jacoby replied. Okay, you are all good, he said giving Jacoby the keys. We went outside, and picked out the vehicles. Jacoby and I decided black and Caitlyn and Brian got the red one. Hold on, Jacoby said. I let out a giggle. I think I can handle this, I said as he led the way. We raced up a mountain, Jacoby and Brian were neck in neck, and Caitlyn and I were laughing at them. We hit the top of the mountain and it was five. There was a picnic table there and two baskets.
Brian’s POV
I opened the basket that had food in it and set the table. Well this is a surprise, Caitlyn said as she kissed me. Jacoby and Megan got off the four wheeler; Jacoby put his arm around Megan. Megan gave him a kiss on the check. Caitlyn and I sat on the opposite side of Megan and Jacoby. What are we going to eat, Caitlyn asked me. I brought out four sandwiches, two Dr. Pepper’s for Megan and Jacoby, the two Cokes for me and Caitlyn, and a bag of Lay’s barbeque chips. Looks good, Megan said. Jacoby kissed her on the forehead.
Have you guys decided on a wedding date, I said. Caitlyn slapped me upside the head, they were just engaged yesterday, she said. Actually yes we did, we are having our wedding on the fourteenthof July this year, Megan said. But that’s so close, Caitlyn said. I know but we are going to be in the studio and Jacoby is going to tour soon, I said. That’s true, but how are we going to get everything together in so little time, Caitlyn asked. I got this, everything will be taken care of, okay, Jacoby said. Caitlyn and I nodded yes.
Jacoby’s POV
After we ate dinner we laid down two blankets to lie on to watch the sunset. There were four pillows but the girls decided to lie on our chest instead. When will we head back to the cabin, Caitlyn asked. We’re not, Jacoby said. We are sleeping out here, I said. Yup, Brian said. Fine with me, I said. I gave Jacoby a kiss goodnight and stared off into the sunset.
