"What was that?" I whispered, my voice shaking.
Justin didn't answer. He wasn't moving.
"Justin? Justin?!" I shook him, but there was nothing. No answer; no movement.
"Oh my God, Justin wake up! Please! Don't do this to me!"
His head was bowed. He had completely covered me, protecting me from the sharp glass shards that were scattered around the room. My hand shook as I moved it towards his face. Gently, oh so gently, I lifted his face towards mine. His eyes were tightly closed, and he was breathing, but his face was twisted in pain.
"I...I..." he muttered, and his body shook with horrible shivers. I felt his back. It was completely covered in glass. "Oh no..." I whispered as I realized the damage.
When he had jumped on me to protect me, the glass hit him. Right in the middle of his back, a long line of blood started to form.
"Justin..." I whispered, tears forming in my eyes. I couldn't move. He shuddered again. I tried to move my right hand around him. I could barely reach, but I managed to brush some of the glass off his shirt. Except one.
A large chunk of glass wouldn't budge. I brushed my hand over it, trying to un-stick it from Justin's blood-stained shirt. It stung. Blood started to swell in my hand, but the shard of glass still hadn't moved.
I gasped. It wasn't stuck to his shirt...
The blood on his back pooled faster now.
"HELP!!" I yelled, "HE'S HURT! SOMEONE, HELP!"
"I'm fine..." Justin shuddered again, and stopped moving completely.
"JUSTIN!!" I screamed. A nurse ran in the room at the sound of my shriek. "Is everyone okay?" she asked me, obviously looking RIGHT over the injured, unconscious superstar lying on top of me.
I froze in momentary shock as I tried to understand that she actually just asked me that. "Does it LOOK like he's OKAY?!" I yelled, angered by her utter stupidity and blindness.
" Don't you worry, I'll take care of him" she was too calm. It stressed me out even more, especially since There was more and more blood leaking onto the sheets.
"PLEASE HURRY!" I was getting more and more frantic by the second. More blood...
"OKAY." the nurse shouted at me.
CAN SHE BE ANYMORE STUPID?!
The nurse gently lifted Justin off of me. He wobbled a little, but he started to regain consciousness. He mutter some incomprehensible words as the nurse said "It's okay Hun, we'll get you cleaned up and bandaged soon." Justin woke up suddenly and looked around, seeming frightened. "Sasha? Sasha?? Please tell me you're okay?!"
"Justin, calm down! I'm fine, your hurt." I said.
He shook his head. "I don't feel anything, I'm fine. Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yes, of course. You saved me. Now, go with the nurse and get fixed up. I'll be here when you're done."
"I'm not leaving you." he wobbled as he finished his sentence, and leaned on the nurse for support. More blood dripped to the floor as he shivered.
"GO.NOW." I said sternly. He didn't argue as the nurse pulled him out of the room, but he did hesitate at the door. "I'll be right back." he whispered. Then, he was gone.
Suddenly feeling lonely, I inspected the hospital room. Large glass shards were spread out everywhere, but nothing was broken. The glass seemed to have come in through the door.
"What the..." I muttered. The glass wall outside my room was completely shattered. Just beyond the broken remains of the wall, dozens of people stood. A woman was being rolled out on a gurney. Wait...
"MOM?!" I shrieked, panicking. She didn't even move. Her face was covered in cuts. The paramedics were rolling here urgently towards the emergency room while yelling our orders at other staff members. I heard someone shout "Hurry up! She'll need life support ASAP!"
"MOM? MOM?!" I couldn't stop calling her. Shock took over my body. A nurse ran into the room and he checked me. I just continued screaming, as if that would save my mother.
"WHAT HAPPENED? WHATS GOING ON?!"
"Someone was fighting with that lady, your mother I presume," The nurse's voice was calm and gentle. "I think it was a teenage girl."
"A teenage girl? What?" I asked, hyperventilating.
"We don't know for sure. She ran after pushing your mom into the glass." There was sudden shouting from the hallway and the nurse ran out of the room, leaving me there alone and in shock.
Teenage girl? Could Acadia have done it?
At that moment, the girl in question ran in. Her face was enraged. "You. Bitch." she hissed, her eyes the tiniest slits. She raised her hand and I realized she was holding a rock.
A large, heavy looking rock.
My eyes widened as I realized what she was about to do. Her hand flew and I gasped. A sudden sharp, dizzying pain erupted in my forehead.
Darkness hit.
~~~
I was back in my bedroom. Younger me and Cammie were chatting on my bed, tubes of random colored nail polishes opened between them.
"Where's Acadia?" younger me asked while painting her index a bright vibrant purple. My favorite color.
"She had to go somewhere," Cammie replied with a shrug, picking up the blue polish,"She's keeping something from us..."
"What do you mean?" my younger, more innocent self asked, a quizzical look on her face.
I remember this day..., I thought. I never did find out what Acadia was hiding...
"You haven't noticed how weird she's been acting?" Cammie looked up and asked, "She's rarely with us anymore!"
"I know, but I bet it's nothing."
"Whatever. But there's something weird about her. And I'm going to find out what," Cammie said, slamming down her nail polish in finality.
BOOM.
The room went black. I was falling... falling... falling...
