Chapter 1

"JADE!" My moms voice echoes from downstairs. "Yeah!" I yell back. "Come down here, please!" I grunted and quickly ran downstairs to find my dad reading the newspaper, Kelli doing homework, and my mom in the kitchen getting dinner ready.

"Ya" I said. "There is someone moving in next door and I would love it if you would go welcome them to the neighborhood." She said with her back towards me."Why can't Kelli." I whine getting a glare from my sister.

"Please just go say hi." I grunted again and ran upstairs to get ready. I put on a red tank top and white short shorts. I put on some sandals and was on my way to the house next door.

I rang the doorbell and a really hot guy answered. "Hi." His deep voice rang in my ears. "Hi, I'm Jade, I live next door and I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood." I said with a smile. "Thank you, I'm Kian. I moved here from California."

'Why would somebody want to move from California to Ohio?' I thought. "Do you go to school?" I asked. "Yeah I'm a senior and I'm starting at Chapelin tomorrow." He grinned. "Oh I go there I'm a senior too, so maybe I can show you around tomorrow?"

"Yeah that would be great, do you want to carpool tomorrow then?" He asked and I got butterflies in my stomach. "Yeah I'll be over tomorrow at 7:45." I said getting butterflies. "That would be great." He smiled. After a little while of talking we said our goodbyes. He smells like playboy. Oh boy.

Kians POV

Wow Jade is really hot, I thought to myself. I got snapped out of my thought when my brother, Harry, came into the room. Harry's older than me by two years, but he acts like a 13 year old. "Kian." He said snapping his fingers in my face. "What?" I said. "Who was that?" He asked. "Her name is Jade and she lives next door. She was just welcoming us to the neighborhood." I said. "You shouldn't be getting involved with humans." He said and that made me growl. "You know what happened last time you got involved with a human." He said but I didn't want to remember, it was a horrific memory.

"She's different, Harry. It feels like I want to be with her all the time." I said without even thinking. 'Where the hell did that come from? We just met.' I thought to myself. "Just don't get to close to her alright." I rolled my eyes and went to my room.
