Chapter 2

Jades POV

I woke up to the sun in my face and it felt nice. Then I remember Kian and I are going to car pool. I'm so exited until I forgot that Carsen probably won't be all that happy. I'll just explain everything to him, he'll understand.

I went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and hair then got on a blue tank top and denim skinny jeans. I quickly got my keys to my Honda and went to Kians. I rang the doorbell and I could here him talking to someone through the door.

A few moments later Kian comes to the door in a tank top that says California on it and some skinny jeans with converse. I notice somebody in the kitchen behind him. "Hello I'm Harry, Kians older brother." He waves and I give him a small wave in return. After that Kian and I hopped into the Honda and drive off.

"Here's my number so you can text me if you are staying home or something." I hand him a slip of paper. He gives me a shy smile as we pull into the school parking lot. As I figured people were staring at us as we neared the school's entrance. That's the one thing I hate about Champlin, everybody knows everybody and once there's a new kid, they all freak out and expect the worst of them. I saw Darcy and Carsen at the front doors waiting. I sighed and walked up to them.

"Hey babe!" Carsen said. "Hey." I smile as he kisses my cheek. "This is Kian, he just moved into the neighborhood." I got a smile from Darcy and a not so smile from Carsen. "Hey man I'm Kian"." Kian shook Carsen's hand. "Hey." Carsen said. After we all had a little conversation the bell for 1st period rang.

Carsens POV

I look across the parking lot, trying to find Jade. I finally saw her pull up and she was with...some guy. She sees me and smiles. She walks over and introduces her friend. I think his name was Juan or something like that. I don't really care what his name is, who does he think he is talking to my girl.

Kians POV

I don't think Jade's boyfriend likes me a whole lot, but I don't care. I didn't come here to make friends. After we all had a small conversation, the bell rang and we went our separate ways. I had P.E. first. I walked in the locker room and changed. After everybody changed we were playing dodgeball and I noticed this girl staring at me the entire time. Later she came up to me and I think she said her name was Chloe. She was good looking but nothing compared to Jade.

Jades POV

I had Math 1st hour..ugh. But I realized that Kian and I have three classes together while Carsen and I only have 1st hour together. I have my locker close to Kians also so we make small talk and I'm slowly getting to know him.  Kian and I have English 2nd hour. After the teacher had Kian introduce himself to everyone,  she had him take a seat next to me. We both smiled as he sat down. English was boring except when Kian and I would make small jokes.

Kian and I had two more classes together, History and Ag-tech. After that the day went pretty fast and the last thing I know, I'm in the Honda with Kian heading home. "That was fun." I laughed. "Were the classes different in California?" I asked and he just chuckled. "What?" I asked confused. "You're just so cute." He chuckled and I blushed, which made him laugh even more.
