Chapter 16

--Jades POV--

"Hey Darcy." I walked to the door giving her a hug. Sam just stood there like a robot. When Kian gave Darcy a hug there was a low growl in Sam's throat. I looked at him with a blank face. "Darcy this is Sam." I said introducing them. Instead of shaking her hand Sam gave her a long bear hug.

What is going on with him. 'Darcy's Sam's mate.' Kian mind linked me. Oh Shit. "Sam can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked pulling his ear and dragging him to the kitchen. "What was that for?" He asked. "Tell me Darcy isn't your mate."

"I can't." He said looking a little hurt. "God damn it. I really don't need this right now." I huff. "You better be good to her. If you hurt her I won't hesitate to kill you." He nodded and we hugged it out. We went back to the living room and I pulled Darcy aside.

"You should go out with Sam." I said. "What? We just met." She said looking surprised. "I know but you guys would make a cute couple. Invite him to your party this weekend." She was quiet for awhile but finally nodded her head. "Fine." I smiled and jumped into her arms. "Thank you."

--Kelli's POV--

Everything has been going great with Harry. We completed the mating bond awhile ago and now I can't leave his side. It's so hard to be away from him just for a minute. I haven't really talked to Jade. Ever since I found out she got bit and now is a werewolf I haven't even seen her. "Are you okay?" Harry asks snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yeah I'm just thinking about Jade. I'm gonna go talk to her. I need to talk to her." I said walking to the door. "I'll be back soon."

I walked over and into the house. Kian and Jade were on one couch and a boy with light brown hair was sitting on the other couch next to Darcy. I'm guessing that he was Kians beat friend, Sam. Harry told me all about Sam. Jade turned to look at me and her face went pale when she saw me. "Can we talk?" I asked. She nodded and got off the couch and went into the kitchen.

"I'm sorry I haven't talk to you for awh-." I was cut off by Jade hugging me. "It's ok. I'm glad you came." She said pulling away. I smiled and we walked back into the living room. Kian was waiting for Jade while Sam and Darcy were making out. "Wow no PDA please!" I yelled covering my eyes. Sam and Darcy pulled away and Darcy's face was like a tomato. Jade and Kian just laughed and I said my goodbyes and walked out the door. It feels like a huge weight has just been lifted off my shoulders.

--Jades POV--

Darcy's party is in two days and I haven't got something to wear. Sam and Darcy have really been hitting it off. They spend every waking moment together. She doesn't know anything about the whole werewolf thing, I don't know when he is going to tell her considering he lives in California and he's going back in two weeks.

My parents called yesterday and said that they are gonna go on a cruise for two months and they will put some money in our accounts. I don't have to worry about them coming home anytime soon. "Darcy lets go shopping I need something to wear for Friday." I said making her take her eyes off of Sam who was playing video games with Kian. "Okay we can go to Shae's. They have the most amazing outfits."

"Ok. Kian, Sam we will be back in about an hour." I said making them pause their game. "Wait." Kian said coming toward me. "Let me go with, what if something happens. What if Carsen is there." He whispered in my ear so Darcy wouldn't hear. "I can protect myself and if I need I'll contact you." I said tapping my head. He nodded and gave me a quick peck while Sam did the same to Darcy.

It took 15 minutes to get to Shae's. We looked around for awhile when I came across a blue and pink plaid shirt and some dark short shorts to go with it. I bought a necklace to go with my outfit. We were on our way to the cashier when I caught the scent of a wolf. I looked around but couldn't see anybody. "Jade come on." Darcy said pulling on my arm. I ignored the smell and kept walking. Once we bought our stuff we walked to the car but I couldn't get the smell out of my head. I recognized that smell but I couldn't put my finger on it.

We drove back home and cooked some sloppy joes for the boys. I kept thinking who's scent it was. When I was about to go to bed, it hit me.

It was my brother Tate. He left three years ago and nobody knew why. Nobody talked about him. It has been like he was never part if the family, but why has he come back? My life could not get anymore complicated.
