Chapter 15

Jades POV

"You." His words rang in my ears. "Why do you want me?" I ask stepping in front of Kian. "Because I had you first. Kian just walked in and took you from me." Carsen said walking toward me. He stopped about 5 feet from Kian and I. "Don't you have a mate?" I ask. "Yeah, but I haven't found her yet so for now you'll have to do." He said with a smirk.

"Over my dead body." Kian said through clenched teeth. "That can be arranged." Carsen said running toward Kian. I pushed Carsen away before he could get to Kian. He tumbled backwards but regained his balance. "You know it doesn't work like that." I hiss. "You will come with me Jade either by choice or by my command."

"No." I said getting pissed. He can't just make me fall in love with him. "You don't have a choice. Jade let's go." He said using his Alpha tone. I didn't want to go but my feet were moving toward Carsen and away from Kian. It was hard to resist but I stopped half way. "I will not be your dog. You will not command me to love you and you will leave me the fuck alone. I want out of your pack!" I yelled. He chuckled.

"If you want out of the pack then challenge me. Take my place as Alpha. If you beat me you win." Could I really beat him. I could at least try. "Fine. I challenge you for your place as Alpha."

--Carsen's POV--

My plan isn't going to work. Jade just challenged me and now I have to kill her. Only one must survive when being challenged. When she is dead, Kian will be to easy. He will have nothing to live for if his mate dies. This may be an even better plan and yet I didn't even plan it until now. Everything will be mine by the time she stops breathing.

--Kians POV--

Jade just challenged Carsen. Has she gone crazy since she joined his pack. I pulled her away from Carsen. "Are you crazy. He is an Alpha. They are much stronger than other wolves." I said pushing my eyebrows together. "I can do it, I just need some training." Wow she is seriously going to do this. "Don't do this Jade. You could get killed. Think of your mom, dad, Kelli, Darcy. Me, Jade. What would I do if you died." I said looking into her eyes.

--Jades POV--

Kian was right. What would everybody do if I died. Kian would go out of his mind because I know I would. "I'm sorry Kian it's to late. I need to start training." I said and turned back to Carsen. "We will fight next weekend in the clearing at dawn." He nodded his head and left.

I turned back to Kian. He had tears welling up in his eyes. "I'm sorry Kian." I said giving him a hug. "Do you know what I would do if I lose you." He said hugging me back. I pulled his head down and kissed him with love and passion.

"Damn it." Kian said breaking the kiss. "What?" I ask. "Sam. He's at the airport I forgot he was coming today." I remember him saying something about Sam. "I'm going to go get him. I'll call you later."

--Sam's POV--

Where the hell is Kian? I have been waiting here for an hour. 'I'm in the parking lot.' Kian mind linked me. I picked up my backpack and suitcase. I walked out of the airport and into the parking lot. I spotted my best friend across the parking lot. I walked over giving him a man hug.

"Hey man it's been awhile. How ya been?" I said putting my stuff in the back of his car.

"I've been good and we need a lot of catching up to do." Kian said hopping into the drivers seat. We exited the parking lot heading for Kians house. "We'll first of all I found my mate." Kian said with a smile on his face. "Wow congrats man! I haven't found mine yet but it feels like I'm close to her."

We arrived at Kians house and I unpacked some of my things. "Come on Sam I want you to meet my mate." Kian yelled from downstairs. I ran downstairs. I followed him next door. He knocked and a brunette with blue eyes answered the door.

"Hi Sam, I'm Jade." She said pulling me into a hug. I heard Kian growl and Jade pulled away. "Calm down grumpy. I only have eyes for you." She said giving him a kiss. I wish I found my mate. "Oh, Darcy is coming over I hope you won't mind." Jade said breaking their kiss to look at me. "That's fine I don't mind."

We sat down on the couch to watch The Lion King. 20 minutes into the movie the doorbell rang. Kian and the Jade were cuddling so I answered it. When I opened it a blonde with beautiful hazel eyes was standing there. My wolf was screaming MATE.
