Alex's POV

He began walking toward me. I could hear the shuffling of chairs, but I couldn't tear my sight away from Niall's possessed body.

He smirked and his lips parted, "I think someone's awake." His features faulted and he grunted.

He quickly regained his smirk and walked forward a little further. He clenched his jaw and pursed his lips in pain. His expression suddenly dropped and he stood straight.

"Already? Can't I at least make you watch yourself slice and tear into the girl you love? Is that too much to ask?" He spoke to the air, but I knew he must've been talking to Niall, who was somewhere inside there.

He then collapsed to the ground and unleashed a painful howl. He clutched desperately at his stomach as his arm wrapped around himself. His other lent against the cold floor and he lurched forward and stained the ground a horrid red.

I watched in terror as the dark scarlet ran from every opening it could on Niall's face, his nose, mouth, ears and eyes.

"Alex..." He groaned.

"Niall. Niall, I'm here. I'm right here. It's okay," I struggled to keep my heart from exploding.

He chuckled.

He let out a horrendous laugh and struggled to his feet before stammering over to me.
I cowarded against the harsh surface of the table. Placing both hands on either side of my body, he ventured to my neck, baring his fangs.

He hissed into my neck and reeled back, throwing himself to the ground a few metres in front of me.

He stared into me, his ice-blue gaze filling me with relief. Niall's ice-blue gaze.

A sudden gasp startled me and I looked over at Harry, who was again occupied by Marcel. Niall was at his side in less than a second and Marcel was hauled to his feet, pressing against the plastered wall. Niall whispered into his ear but from where I was I couldn't quite make it out. By the look on Harry's face I knew it must've been something horrible.

Niall stepped back and Marcel was gone in a flash. I then noticed that Liam had pushed the gag that was in his mouth to the ground.

A clacking sound made me glance to the back of the warehouse to find Abby trying to run, but just as I was going to announce it Liam had broken free and rushed in front of her, blocking her path.

"Let her go," I looked over at Niall in shock as he continued, "but Abby, if I ever see you again I won't hesitate to kill you." She nodded her head as Liam stepped aside to let her pass.

Niall stumbled over to me and grabbed ahold of the chains around my wrist, braking them with such ease it almost frightened me, he then did the same to the ones around my ankles.
His eyes lingered on my legs and then travelled antagonisingly slow up my body before they rested on my exposed neck. His lips parted and he swayed toward me.

"Niall?" I questioned cautiously.

"Sorry. Let's get out of here," he then grabbed me by my hips and lifted me effortlessly onto the ground.

Louis was untied at this point and was standing next to Liam as we exited the old, worn-down building.

"Hey, where's Zayn?" I asked as I hadn't seen him at all.

"Uhm..."

"Right here," a voice came from behind us and I was met with a bloodied and beaten Zayn.

"What the hell happened to you?" I questioned his horrid appearance.

"Its a long story."

Liam suddenly halted and stared into the distance, "that's my car," he finally said after we had all stopped to look at him.

I followed his gaze and sure enough his Porsche sat across the street. My eyes scanned the surrounding area and I could just see a small lump. As we walked closer it became clearer and clearer. The lump was a body and I gasped in shock at the sight of my best friend.

My heart splintered, cracked, crumbled into nothing. I knew at that moment Niall was the only thing keeping me upright. Any sliver of optimism I had, fled from within me and somehow I just knew that my ability wasn't that powerful.

"Niall," I spoke a quiver clear in my voice, "is there any other way..." I didn't have to finish. I looked up at him and his eyes drifted down to me.

"I know you're against it, but the only other way is to bite her. The only way for her to be alive again is to be dead." Was that really the answer? What could possibly go wrong?

"Do it."

"Liam. Its up to you, now."

Liam walked over to Maddy's unmoving body and crouched beside her. His hand pressed against her belly and was instantly covered in blood.

I felt Niall stiffen at my side. His breathing increased and his hands clenched beside him.

"Alex... I can't be here," his gaze drifted to my neck again and he grabbed me by my upper arms. His eyes burned red and his fangs hesitantly crept toward the artery pulsing under the skin of my neck. "I-I'm sorry, but I'll meet you back at the house."

"Niall..." I spoke, but it was too late.

I looked over at Maddy and Liam, his mouth was dripping with her blood.

My heart thumped.

Louder.

Louder.

I looked back at the warehouse, then back at my best friend's body.

It happened. What I dreamt, what I had seen. Maddy's body lying lifeless outside a warehouse. It actually happened.
I had seen the future.

Her gasp filled my ears and I watched as her eyes flashed a blood-red.
