"What do you mean?" I asked getting a little scared.

"You don't actually think we're human do you? After what we did." He answered. He turned to the other boys, "'humans'. They're so oblivious."

"I don't understand."

"I wouldn't expect a 'human' to."

"Stop calling me a 'human' like that!" I yelled. I noticed I was still laying on the ground and began to get up.

"Your not worth my time. I'd kill you but Niall would probably slaughter me in my dreams, literally."

"How could he possibly do that?"

"Haven't you been listening? We're not human." I looked at him with a 'what are you talking about?' expression on my face. "God, do I have to spell it out for you. We. Are. VAMPIRES!" He screamed at me. I stepped back, horror plastered across my face.

"Thats not possible." I said trying to deny that vampires could exist.

"You don't really believe that, do you?" He asked and I shook my head as if to say no.

"Yes." I knew it was real, but my mind just couldn't comprehend it. I began getting black spots in my vision, until I felt myself collapsing and Harry ran over to me in the blink of and eye and caught me before I hit the ground.

"Aleexx!" Was the last thing I heard before I passed out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up on a heart shaped, red bed with red cloth draped up to my waist. There was also red cloth hanging from the ceiling, which hung around the bed. The rest of the room was black. I mean there wasn't a speck of colour in the room apart from the bed and a couple of splatters of red paint. At least, I hope it was paint.

The memories started to flood back as if held back by a dam wall that had now been shattered. I sat up and started to sob into the blanket. Why did this have to happen to me? It wasn't fair. If only we had picked up them paper planes, then we would've missed my bus, and wouldn't have been walking home when those boy- sorry vampires were there.

Niall's POV

I was sitting on my bed, trying to think what I could possibly do about this situation. I know the boys look up to me because I always know what to do. This time I had no clue.

Liam walked through my door and sat next to me.

"Hey man, are you alright?" He asked me.

"I'm fine. I just-I just don't know what I'm supposed to do about this." He looked shocked that I didn't know what I was gonna do.

"Look, I know you better than anyone else, and I'm sure you'll figure it out."

"Niiiaaaallllll!!" Harry yelled from downstairs. In a second I was by his side.

"Wha-" I began, but cut myself off when I saw Alex laying in his arms unconscious. I picked her up and carried her to a spare bedroom, that I always kept, in case I found the one. I walked inside and laid her down in the bed. Everyone walked out and I closed the door.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I opened the fridge, grabbed some margarine and eggs out and put them on the bench. I opened the freezer and grabbed out some bacon and defrosted it using my vampire powers. But I do like to dabble in cooking so I don't use my vampire powers for everything so I chuck the margarine into a pan on the stove and let it melt. Then I put the bacon and eggs in and cook them.

While they were cooking I grabbed out two plates, a table cloth, knives and forks and a vase. I placed the red table cloth down on the table and set it. I raced outside into the garden and picked a rose. I came back inside and put the rose in the vase. The smell from the pan made my stomach rumble indicating that I was very hungry.

When the eggs and bacon were finally ready I served them onto the plates and made them into a face. I walked upstairs and over to Alex's door. All the boys were out at the carnival with Maddy, I was planning on taking Alex, but then she collapsed, I suppose I'll take her later if she's up to it. I was about to knock on the door when my highly sensitive hearing caught sobbing coming from inside. I opened the door and walked in.

"Hey." I continued to walk over to Alex. I reached the bed and pulled her into a hug.

"Sssshhhhhhh. It's okay. It's okay." She started to calm down and stop crying.

"Whats wrong?" I asked her.

"I just don't understand why I was dragged into this mess. I don't think I can handle this. I'd like to say 'it's not your fault' but it is. I know you call the shots. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be stuck here." She said through sobs, clearly upset. Her glassy hazel eyes stared intently into mine. She was right, but I can't just let her go, I only just found her.

"I know and I'm sorry, but you already know too much, so even if I wanted to let you go, I couldn't." I said with heartache in my voice. I didn't exactly tell her the truth. A half truth if you will.

"Are you hungry?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"What?" She replied.

"Do you want something to eat?"

"Yeah. I suppose I am pretty hungry. Okay." She said as we both began to get up.

We were sitting at the table I set up earlier, enjoying our meals.

"So-""The-" we both started at the same time and were cut off by each other.

"You go." I said with a small smile.

"The meal is great. Where did you learn to cook?" Wow! She likes my cooking.

"I kinda just taught myself." I said a little sheepishly.

"Thats amazing. I didn't know vampires could eat 'human' food though."

"Well we can, but we need blood to survive. The boys and I hunt in the woods. I've taught them to only drink animal blood, but sometimes the thirst becomes to much and we can't control ourselves. We lash out and kill humans instead. It must be a little bit frightening living in a house full of vampires knowing what I just told you." She nodded taking in all the information.

"It's a little bit scary. It's mainly overwhelming though. Up until today I didn't know vampires existed and now I know that you can be nice and eat food." She said before a light chuckle. I gave her a warm smile in return.

"So, I was wondering, only if your up to it and only if you want to, if ma-maybe you want to, maybe go to the carnival later? Only if you want to that is." Gosh, I sounded like a hot mess. Like an awkward teenager who's never asked a girl out in his entire, long life.

"Oh, you know, I'd love to but, I don't think I'm quite ready to go out, after everything I've learnt, and passing out. It's just a little hard to take in and I don't think going to a carnival is going to make it better. Sorry, I really want to, but," I gave her a quick, shy smile before a sheepish nod.

"I get it, and even if you were up to it you probably wouldn't want to go with a guy you've just met, which just so happens to be a vampire. But if you do change your mind the carnival runs all month." She started to awkwardly turn her head away. "I should probably shut up now. I'm just saying I understand." She replied with a bright smile and a small chuckle before a nod and returning to finishing her plate of food.

"Oh, and I'll think about going." She said before finishing her food.
