Alex's POV

I was chilling on the couch looking at old photos on my phone, when the sound of the news reporter's voice caught my attention.

"The tragic disappearance of Alexandrea Black has rattled the small town of 'Riot's Rock' and has shattered the Black family. Mrs Black says-"

"Oh, my poor baby. Please if you're hearing this, come home, give us a sign. Please Alex."

Tears slid down my face as I shut the TV off.

"What's wrong?" I turned to see Niall.

I stood up and slowly walked over to him. Giving him a hug, I spoke,

"Niall, I need you to do something for me."

"Anything." He said as he stroked my back.

"I need to go see my mum." He drew back and looked me in the eyes.

"Not that. I can't let you leave."

"I can't be your prisoner. If that's how you see me, you may as well lock me in a cage. Please Niall."

He stared into my eyes for a long time before he made any move to speak.

"Fine, but I'm coming with you."

"Argh, fine.
"Well I'll go get changed and we'll leave." I continued.

"What? Now?"

"Yes, now."

"Okay, but on one condition." I nodded. "I'm taking you on a date."

"Okay." I said as I left to get changed.

I walked back through the kitchen and into the opening of the house, where I turned and walked up the stairs.

My feet pattered across the hallway as a voice spoke from in front of me.

"You're supposed to be dead. You were supposed to die and it was all supposed to turn out like I had planned." Zayn pushed me into the wall and held me there, his hand wrapped around my throat. "If you say anything to anyone, I will kill you and everybody you've ever loved. Don't doubt it for a second. I want you to be scared. Don't think you can just tell Niall and he'll kill me. Oh no, I've protected myself from him for a long time. Let's just say I have friends in witchy places. I'm gonna let you go now and you are gonna go about your life as you were before, or death will follow you until it is you in the coffin." He disappeared, leaving me with a sore throat and tears welling in my eyes.

"I want you to be scared." His words rang through my mind. He got what he wanted. I was scared, terrified and totally alone.

Though I had bigger things to worry about and I was going to go see my mum, finally. I pushed his words and my feelings towards them into the deepest parts of my mind until I was ready to deal with them.

I walked into my room and shut the door. I strolled into the abyss of clothing and picked out a pair of tights, a comfy top and my favourite hoodie. I stripped off my clothes and got changed into the new ones and matched my outfit with a pair of converse shoes.

My fully charged phone in my hand, I stepped out of my room, through the hallway and down the stairs. His familiar blonde strands met me at the door. He turned the handle and the cool breeze hit my face.

We walked over to his car and hopped in. I closed the door before I buckled my seat belt.

"I'm trusting you enough to not put a blindfold on you. Please don't betray my trust."

"I won't." I promised.

Wow. He lived in a beach front mansion, golden gates opening as we left his little piece of paradise.
After about half an hour we passed a sign that said, Now Entering Riot's Rock.
