Niall's POV
I tried to get up off the ground with all my might, but my hands were shaking and my legs felt like jelly.

"Look, I gotta go. I'll tell you anything else you wanna know later. Okay, Alex?"

I could hear them talk, but it was like hearing Louis's voice for the first time and I listened intently.

"Sure. Thanks, Louis."

"No, thank you."

I could hear footsteps nearing the door, but I couldn't put any strength into getting up. The lock unlatched and the door swung open and the footsteps stopped dead in their tracks.

"Louis?" Alex spoke worriedly, but Louis just kept staring me in the eyes. Louis slowly closed Alex's door and continued looking at me.

"Get up!" He said firmly.

I just kept looking at him. I still felt like I was an uncooked cake, ready to just collapse at the slightest touch.

"Get up!" He said it a little louder as he stepped over me and picked me up by my collar.

"What did you hear?!" He yelled at me, but I didn't reply. I continued staring at him, and I could feel my eyes becoming glassy.

He scanned my eyes for an answer and they gave him one. A single tear slid down over my pale face and dripped to the floor. I could tell we both waited for its sound as it hit the wooden floorboards.

He shoved me back into the wall and let go of my shirt. He turned his head away from me and brought his hand across his mouth.

"I'm sorry Louis. I'm so, so sorry. For everything." I said a quiver in my voice.

"You shouldn't of even been listening. That was private. I wasn't ready to tell you." He said disgust showing slightly in his voice.

I reached out to him and he punched me square in the jaw, and I let him. He gave it all he had and punched me again and again, and then I fell to the ground with a bloody nose.

His eyes red and glassy he said, "I said I couldn't kill you, and I can't, not even if you actually could be killed, but I can hurt you for what you did. How could you leave me without my mother? Without a family? To grow up in a world where I was hated and thought to be an abomination. With no friends and no family. Huh?" He kept punching me.

"Stop...Louis. I'm sorry. I was unstable and angry." I knew he couldn't kill me, but it certainly felt like he was going to.

He threw me into the wall and then dragged me across the hall and held me on the railing.

"That's no excuse for what you did. For the pain and suffering you put on a 5 year old boy."

And then he actually picked me up and threw me over the railing.

Time slowed down and it felt like I was falling for ages. Slowly plummeting to the ground below. Until finally I hit the floor. I fractured my leg and broke my arm. Shattered a few bones in my spine and several in my left hand.
In a matter of minutes my bones snapped back into place and I healed, but it still hurt like a bitch.
I was still lying on my back when I heard the click of a door opening.

Zayn emerged from the hall. When he saw me his expression changed from tired, maybe, to anger. He picked Louis up by the throat and smashed him into the ground. Louis didn't even try to defend himself. Zayn slammed him into the wall and grabbed Louis's hand and began braking it.

"Arrrrhhhhh!!" Louis screamed in agony as his hand bent it ways it really shouldn't.

I pushed through the pain and jumped up. I was at their sides in a flash. I grabbed Zayn's wrist and pushed him back. He fell to the ground with a thud.

"You don't touch him. Ever!" I yelled at the shaking body on the ground as I helped Louis to his room.

I laid him down on his bed and he instantly fell asleep.

My son.
