"Guys, come on! Movie night!" Wally cried, racing into the kitchen and returning with bowls of popcorn.
"I'm choosing the movie!" you screamed, jumping onto the sofa beside Wally.
"I'm going to change first."
"Yeah, me too."
The team left to change into their pajamas, leaving you in the living room by yourself. You decided to choose a horror movie, The Conjuring. M'gann was the first to come back and she asked, "What are we watching?"
"The Conjuring."
She plopped down on the other sofa, Conner sitting beside her after a while. Wally zipped back and sat on the third couch, Dick joining him. Aqualad sat beside you while Artemis sat on the floor, Rocket joining her. You pressed play, the movie starting. The intro started and you grabbed a bowl of popcorn.
"B08, Zatanna."
"Movie night?" she asked, sitting beside you.
"Mm hm," you replied. "Popcorn?"
"No thanks," she smiled slightly, declining. "Egnahc otni samajap," she muttered, clothes instantly changing into pajamas. "What's showing?"
"The Conjuring," Artemis replied, already sounding bored.
"Wow, I really hate horror," she stated.
"Don't worry Zee, you have me," you winked, giggling while she nudged your side. Zatanna was your best friend, and you usually tend to "fake flirt" with her for fun.
Halfway into the movie, the movie was already really intense and everyone braced themselves for jump scares. Even Artemis looked slightly scared. Someone screamed in the movie and Zee grabbed your arm, tightly. "Geez, Zee, you're going to stop my blood flow," you whispered jokingly. She didn't reply, and didn't loosen her grip either. As a jump scare happened, Zee shrieked slightly and dug her face into your shoulder. You chuckled, fixing your eyes back onto the screen.
"Is it over?" she mumbled into your shoulder.
"Yeah, it is," you replied, "although there's still about twenty minutes left."
"Okay, well, I'm just gonna hide here. Inform me when the movie's over."
After the movie was over, you informed Zee and she finally removed her face from your shoulder. "No. Never doing that again. Ever."
Dick laughed, poking Wally's side. "Well at least you weren't the only one scared."
"Shut up, Dick," Wally mumbled, shoving the smaller boy.
"Hey who wanna play a game?" Dick asked, smirking.
"I don't like your smirk. . ." you told Dick.
"I'm bored, so yeah I'm in," Artemis drawled out. "Besides it's only ten."
You shrugged. "I'm in too, then."
Soon the whole team had agreed to the game, and you all sat in a circle while Dick explained the game.
"Well basically we're gonna play spin the bottle." You groaned, along with a few others. "For those who don't know the game, basically there's going to be a bottle in the middle of the circle, and everyone will take turns spinning it. The person that the bottle points to when it comes to a rest will be the person you have to kiss," Dick explained, smirking.
He withdrew a bottle from behind him and placed it in the middle. "Who's up first?" No one volunteered, and he shrugged. "Okay then. Let's play rock, paper, scissors. Loser starts."
In the end, Zatanna was the loser and had to go first. She, hesitantly, spun the bottle. Everyone watched apprehensively as it stopped and pointed at. . .you.
"What?!" you shrieked, eyes wide. "No way am I kissing her--I mean, she's my best friend!"
"Rules are rules," Dick smirked, making you feel like punching him in the face.
"[Y/N], calm down," Zee said, placing a hand on your shoulder.
You looked at her. "Zee. . .I-I don't. . ."
"It's okay, I'm fine with it--if you're fine with it too," she said quickly, turning away, her face flushed.
"I. . ." You started thinking about it. You'd be kissing your best friend, a girl. Honestly, did it bother you? . . .No. It did not. "I'm. . .fine with it."
Your response shocked Zee, but she quickly covered it up.
"Okay, the kiss should last for at least five seconds." Screw you, Dick.
"Um. . ." You looked at Zatanna, not sure of what to do. Should you kiss first? Or should she? You leaned in slowly, Zee doing the same. Your lips met, and you were shocked at first. You were actually kissing your best friend! But, after the shock wore off, you closed your eyes and tasted strawberries. Zatanna's lips tasted like strawberries. You kissed deeper, wanting to taste more of the strawberries. Zatanna's arms wrapped around your neck and pulled your closer, until you could smell her. Apples. She smelled like apples. The smell was intoxicating, and you wanted to smell more.
"Guys, you can stop now--er..." Distantly, you could hear Dick's voice but decided to ignore him.
Zatanna kissed harder, causing you to moan a little. She took this as an advantage and slipped her tongue into your mouth. She explored every corner of your mouth, before retracting her tongue and returned to kissing you. Your lungs burned after being cut off from oxygen for so long. You pulled back, breathing heavily. You rested your forehead against hers. "Apples and strawberries, really?" you asked, grinning widely.
"Lavender and peach, really?" she grinned widely, pecking your cheek.
You blushed, staring into her eyes. This was going to be a start of a beautiful relationship.
