You parked your car in the garage and got out. You entered your house and immediately fell onto the couch. You glanced at the clock -12:35AM. Work was getting so busy nowadays, you hardly got any more than four hours of sleep every night. You got ready for bed quickly, taking a shower before brushing your teeth changing. You walked by your window and was going to draw the curtains in-
Wait, is that a person? Walking a dog? At this hour?
"Person must be crazy," you muttered before drawing your curtains in and settling down for a night's rest.

The next day, when you were getting into your car, your neighbour walked out. To your knowledge he had moved in about a week ago, and lived alone. He had short hair and -what colour are those eyes? blue?-eye colour you couldn't really tell from this distance. You waited for him to turn out of the road before you started driving. Work was uneventful, and you almost fell asleep several times. Your boss noticed this, and made you go home early. Bless.
It was around nine when you heard your neighbour's car pull in. His white Honda was parked perfectly parallel in his driveway. You were jealous of his parking skills, if anything.
You pulled the covers over you and fell into a much needed sleep.

"No! Be quiet, Bob!"
You groggily rubbed your eyes and glimpsed your alarm clock: 1:54AM. What the hell? You pulled the curtains back and you saw it - someone walking their dog. At one in the morning. The dog then started barking, and wouldn't stop. Figuring you've had enough, you slipped on a robe before walking out into the chilly night.
"I'd appreciate it if you'd shut your dog up!" you called from your place at the front lawn.
"I-I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?"
"Yes, you did."
"Apologies. I shall head back now." The person tugged at the dog's lead and walked with it. Only when the person headed for the house beside yours did you realised he was your new neighbour!
"Don't you ever sleep?" you asked just as he was about to open his door.
"I suffer from"-he paused-"insomnia."
"You just moved in last week, right?"
"Yes, that is correct."
"Where were you from?"
"...Far away."
Okay, so maybe he didn't want to talk about it. "That's cool." You were about to ask another question but a yawn interrupted.
He chuckled softly, saying, "You should go back to bed. We shall converse tomorrow, if you'd like?"
"Yes, I'd like that. Lunch at one at the coffee shop on the next street?" you suggested.
"That sounds nice. I'll pick you up."
"All right. Goodnight-uh-"
"Kaldur."
"Goodnight, Kaldur." You opened your door and was about to close it when he called out:
"Wait."
"Yes?" You stuck your head out.
"Would this be considered as a...date?" he asked hesitantly.
"It...It can be a date if you'd like it to be?"
"It is a date then."

The...date with Kaldur was nice and you learned lots about him, and vice versa. Kaldur was a nice guy - polite, well-mannered, and he treated you with utmost respect. He was a brilliant guy and you couldn't wait for your next date with him. He had said he was going to bring you to an Italian restaurant.
"Kaldur! You look great," you commented at his appearance. He was wearing a button-down with pants.
"You look beautiful, [Y/N]," he complimented gently.
You blushed. "Thank you."
"For you." He extended his arm, and in his hands were a bouquet of flowers.
You accepted them gratefully, smiling your thanks.
He drove you there and opened the car door for you. You stepped outside and looked at the restaurant from the outside. It looked fairly big.
"Shall we?" He held his hand out.
You smiled, interlocking your fingers with his. You kissed his cheek. "We shall," you replied, eyes twinkling.
