"Wally, you've got a little bit of sauce on your face," you told him, trying not to giggle.
"Where?" Wally picked up a piece of tissue, rubbing his face - at all the wrong places.
"No, no - not there," you laughed. "Here, let me help," you smiled, holding his wrist lightly and guiding his hand to where the tomato sauce was.
He rubbed it all clean. "Thanks, [Y/N]."
You sighed, a small smile on your face. You still remembered that day, when Wally had kissed you after that. It was your first kiss, and with Wally. But even though you guys had kissed, nothing serious happened after. You didn't become a couple like you had hoped you would, but that was okay with you - as long as he doesn't date anyone else. Selfish? I know. Something light hit you on the shoulder, snapping you out of your thoughts. Frowning, you looked down. A crumpled piece of paper lay by your chair. You picked it up and unfolded it.
PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS.
WALLYYou rolled your eyes. Like Wally himself pays attention in class.
CAN'T. FOCUSED ON OTHER THINGS. :)
You threw it back to him when the teacher's back was turned and bit your lip, awaiting his reply
LIKE ME?
You rolled your eyes again and wrote down: YOU WISH.
And before Wally had a chance to reply, the bell rung. You gathered your things and got out of the room, unlocking your locker and dumping everything in, getting out your wallet.

Your phone vibrated. You turned on your phone and checked the message: mEEt mE @ pArk. It was from Wally. You replied with a quick "Okay, be there in 5" before dashing off to change out of your sweats. Once you were in something more appropriate, you left the house, leaving a note to your mum explaining where you were in case she came home and found you gone.
What could Wally want? Why could he possibly want to meet at the park?
You reached the park, and looked over it. No sign of Wally. You sent another message: Where R U? A quick reply stated that he was at the swings. You changed your direction and started walking to the swings. You saw Wally seated on one, the other one beside him empty.
"Hey Wally."
"Hey [Y/N]," he greeted, smiling.
You sat on the other seat, swinging back and forth slighty. "So why did you ask me to meet here?"
"I . . . wanted to ask you something."
"Shoot."
"Will you . . . uh . . . go to prom with me?" he asked awkwardly, a blush coating his features.
You felt your face heat up and realised you were blushing, too. "Uh, yes, I would love to." You found yourself grinning.
"Really? That'd be great! So, uh, I'll pick you up at . . . eight?"
"Yeah, that'd be great."

You slipped on your dress, and started on your make-up. You were extremely nervous and excited. What if Wally doesn't like how I look like? What if I accidentally step on Wally's feet while dancing? What if he doesn't show up because he realises he doesn't want to go to prom with me after all? You shook your head, clearing those thoughts. He asked you for a reason - and it is because he wants to go to prom with you. He isn't the type that would ditch.
After finishing the make-up, you took a deep breath, and that was when the doorbell rang and your mum called out to you: "Honey! Wally's here!"
You took a shaky breath, slipping on your heels. Then, taking one final look at yourself and making sure everything was perfect, you descended the stairs. The first thing that happened was your mother exclaiming how beautiful you looked. Then, you saw Wally. His eyes were wide and he looked stunned. He was holding a bouquet of red roses, which coincidentally matched the colour of your dress.
"[Y/N] you look . . ." Wally stopped, searching for the right words. ". . . Simply gorgeous."
You blushed, thanking him. He handed you the bouquet of roses and you kissed his cheek, causing him to flush furiously.
He took you hand and led you down the front steps.
"You guys go have fun. However be back by midnight," your mum said.
"Of course."
"Oh, and how could I forget!" Your mother rushed into the house, returning mere moments later with a camera. "Pictures!"
You stood beside Wally, and he put his arms around you. You blushed, however enjoyed the warmth he provided. You mum took some pictures then waved you off. You hopped into Wally's car and reached the venue in no time. You two walked in, and the once shabby school hall was now a grand ballroom. Couples were on the dance floor dancing, some were at the small tables talking and laughing. You grinned up at Wally, and he immediately asked you to dance.
He placed his right hand on your waist and took your right hand in his. You placed your left hand on his shoulder and began dancing. Soon, the lights dimmed out and a slow, romantic song started playing. Wally and you decided to change positions: he now had his arms wrapped around your waist, your arms around his neck.
"Wally," you mumbled. "The night is nowhere near over but it's already been great."
"And that's because you are here," he said, smirking.
You stared into his mesmerising green eyes. They were simply beautiful. Before you could do anything else, he had captured your lips with his. The world around froze; it was only you and him now. You kissed back passionately. When you both pulled back for air, he leaned his forehead against yours.
"[Y/N], will you be my girlfriend?"
Your heartbeat stopped, and you felt like fainting. Had he really just asked you that?
