.:Nikki's POV:.

Brian pulled into his parents driveway and turned the car off. I gripped onto the sonograms tightly, my heart racing as I thought of what we were about to do.

Brian reached over and rested his large hand on my stomach, rubbing the little bump that was beginning to appear.

"Relax, Nikki." He said softly. "There's nothing to be worried about, I promise you. They'll be so excited."

I took a deep breath, putting my hand over his. "I hope you're right. I don't want them to hate me."

He smirked. "Hate you? I don't think they could." He chuckled. "Actually, I know they couldn't hate you. They chose you over me when we broke up." I couldn't help but laugh. Brian smiled. "See? There's that smile. Come on, Mom and Dad are waiting."

I unbuckled myself as Brian got out and came around to my side, helping me out and wrapping his arm around my waist. I smiled up at him as he kissed my cheek, leading us to the front foor of his parents. I pressed myself closer to him, needing the support.

The door swung open then. I expected to see Suzy or Papa Gates answer but was soon met with a pair of slender arms hugging my middle tightly.

"I missed you!" McKenna said, burying her face into my stomach.

I giggled, hugging her back. "I missed you too, sweetie."

"Oh, sure. I'm great, thanks." Brian chuckled.

McKenna rolled her eyes. "I see you all the time." Brian scoffed. McKenna smiled up at me, taking my hand. "Come on! Mom and Dad are inside, they're going to be so happy!"

With that said, she tugged on my hand and dragged me inside and kicking the door shut. Totally forgetting that Brian was still standing on the front porch.

"Mom! Dad! Look!" McKenna called out happily, leading me out to the backyard where Suzy and Papa Gates were lounging on a couple lawn chairs.

"Do my eyes decieve me?" Papa G chuckled. "Nicole?"

"Nikki!" Suzy got up, scurrying over to pull me in for a hug. "My, you look so radiant!"

I blushed. "Thank you. You look so pretty. How are you guys?"

Suzy smiled, taking me to a chair. "Sit. We've been really good. How about you? What brings you here?"

"Me." Brian said, closing the screen door behind him. He had a beer in hand. "We were in the neighborhood. What's for dinner?"

Suzy sighed. "Should have known you would be here for the food." She looked over at me. "Nikki, would you like something to drink? I can get you a beer."

I held up my hand. "I'm not drinking anymore. A water is fine."

She nodded and went inside. Papa Gates laughed as Brian took a seat beside me.

"You not drink? What are you? Pregnant?" Papa Gates laughed.

Brian and I laughed awkwardly, stealing a glance between each other.

"Dad, do you need help firing up the grill?" Brian asked, getting up and walking over to the grill.

"Please. We don't need you setting yourself on fire. Again." Someone laughed.

"Ha, ha. Very funny, Brent." Brian rolled his eyes, taking a swig from his beer.

I watched from my seat as Brent joined us outside, not seeing me at first as he walked by over to Brian and his Dad. He chuckled as he punched Brian's arm playfully, then spotted me as he brought his beer to his lips, eyes widening.
