.:Nikki's POV:.

The drive home was silent. Only sounds in the car was Brian's mix CD playing and Brian's heavy breathing. I glanced over at him to see him glaring out the window, hands balled up into tight fists.

I sighed softly as I shook my head, blinking a few times to stay awake.

"Well," I cleared my throat, the silence finally getting to me. "That went well."

"Shut the hell up." Brian growled out.

::Hour earlier::

The Haner family and I sat around the table once more, this time Brian and I sitting beside each other instead of across from one another. Brent and McKenna sat across from us while Suzy and Brian Sr. sat at the ends of the table.

We were all laughing and chatting about; the men teasing each other while Suzy and I gushed over the baby. Discussing names and the sex of the baby, also if the baby would look like me or Brian.

"Yeah, well," Brent cleared his throat, taking a bite out of his burger. "Not all of us claim someone else's girlfriend and throw a bitch fit."

My eyes widened, glancing up at Brian who's eyes had darkened.

"Brent!" Suzy and Brian Sr. scolded.

"What?" Brent asked, looking at them. "We all know I'm right! He has to claim everything! And now he got her pregnant to stake an even deeper claim onto her!"

"I didn't get her pregnant so I could make sure no guy has her!" Brian yelled. "We weren't planning on having a baby, this baby is a surprise. When we were-" Brian glanced at McKenna, clearing his throat. "Playing twister, I didn't play it right."

"You cheated, Brian?" McKenna asked.

"In more ways than one." Brent mumbled.

Brian slammed his drink down. "What the fuck is your problem?"

"You know my fucking problem!" Brent argued.

I sat there with wide eyes, glancing between the two angry men. Having a serious deja vu moment, but roles are reversed. I snapped back to reality when the arguing between both men got louder. I slammed my hands down on the table.

"SHUT UP!" I yelled, the room going quiet in seconds. "Both of you are acting like a bunch of freaking five year olds, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one in this room that is sick of it!"

"Nikki, stay out of-" Brian started.

"No! You can't tell me what to do, Haner!" I glared up at him. "You and Brent need to stop this pointless bickering."

"It's not pointless!" Brent shook his head. "You and I were supposed to be together. If it weren't for this idiot," He motioned towards a fuming Brian. "We would still be together."

"There was no were for you both." Brian rolled his eyes. "Nikki has always been my girl."

"Yeah, but you always had Michelle!" Brent glared, making Brian glare harsher at the sound of Michelle's name.

"Michelle means nothing to me." Brian's voice darkened dangerously low.

Brent rolled his eyes. "Bullshit. She was your first love, the one woman you always go back to and cheat with on some poor girl." Brent looked at me. "Has he cheated on you with MIchelle yet?"

I looked down, tears falling down my cheeks.

"You fucker." Brian growled, lunging across the table and tackling Brent to the ground.

"Brian!" We all yelled.

Going to pull an enraged Brian off Brent, Papa G gently stopped me and told me that I was pregnant and shouldn't get between these two right now. I sighed before walking over to McKenna and hugging her to me, she hid her face in my stomach. I rubbed her back while I watched Papa Gates pull the boys off each other.

Brian shrugged Papa Gates off, wiping the blood from his lip. "You stay away from Nikki and I. You're dead to us."

"Fuck you!" Brent glared, blood dripping down his nose. "It's always been me and Nikki. Like it's always you and Michelle. Nikki deserves more than you."

Before Brian could attack Brent once more, I was pushing him out the door. I shut the front door once Brian was outside, turning back to face Suzy and Papa G, a sad smile on my face.

"I'm so sorry about that. Whatever is broken, I will pay for." I apologized.

Suzy hugged me. "Oh, honey. Do not dare apologize for my boys behavior. I'm just glad you and the baby are alright." She rubbed my stomach. "And do not think about paying for anything. It's alright. Just make sure you and Brian get home safely and come visit any time you want."

I nodded, hugging her tighter. "I will. Again, I'm so sorry."

"Stop your apologizing, kiddo." Papa G grinned, hugging me. "Before this baby realizes you're too soft. Cause once they do, you're in for some shit for 18 years."

I giggled. "I'm anything but soft, you know that. It's just the pregnancy that made me soft for now."

Papa G laughed. "That I do know."

"Let's go, Nicole!" Brian yelled from outside.

I sighed, shaking my head. "I'll see you both later."

"Bye. Drive safe, please." Suzy waved.

I smiled as I nodded, walking out of the house to see Brian glaring at the door. Once I was in arm's reach, he pulled me closely against him and smashed his lips against my own. The kiss was violent but passion held there still.

"Mine." Brian grumbled against my lips, my arms wrapping around his neck.

Once we pulled away, Brian held me closely against his side with his arm around my waist and helped me into his truck.

Making our way back to his silently, the awkward tension wrapping around us both.
