.:Nikki's POV:.

"Diana! What's wrong?" I ordered, my eyes widening.

Brian sat in front of me, a look of worry on his features. He mouthed, "What's wrong?"

"I need you to pick me up. Please." She sobbed. "Matt called off the wedding!"

"WHAT?!" I yelled, scrambling off the bed. "Why would he do that?!" I asked, grabbing my jeans.

"I'll explain later. Please, come get me. I don't want to be here anymore and my car is in the shop." She cried.

"I'll be there shortly, sweetie." I hung up, sliding my shirt on.

"What's wrong? Is Diana okay?" Brian asked, putting a shirt on.

I shook my head. "Matt called the wedding off. We need to get her, if you don't mind."

He shook his head, jumping into his jeans. "I don't mind."

I kissed his cheek. "Thank you."

"No need to thank me." He grabbed his car keys. "Come on, babe. Let's go grab her."

He wrapped his arm around my waist, leading me to his car.

Brian took my hand in his as he drove towards Diana and Matt's, I stared out the window as my thoughts wandered. Not even Brian holding my hand calmed me.

Why the hell would Matt call the wedding off? He and Diana were so excited and the big day is just around the corner!

Maybe cold feet?

"I can't fucking believe he would do that." Brian growled, his hand on the steering wheel tightened, his knuckles bone white. "What the fuck is going through his head?"

"Maybe he's getting cold feet?" I shrugged.

Brian scoffed. "Cold feet? He's told me time and time again he couldn't wait to marry her. And just when it's around the corner he backs out? Hell no!" He shook his head.

"Baby, relax." I caressed his cheek. "Look, I'm pretty sure Matt has his reasons. I know he doesn't mean to call off the wedding. Just talk to him when you can, you're his best friend. I'll handle Diana."

Brian sighed and put the car in park, his chocolate eyes meeting mine as he took my hand again. "You're amazing. You know that?"

I smiled. "That I do."

He chuckled before leaning over to press his thin lips to mine.

I pulled away. "Let's rescue Diana."

"As always." He laughed as he slid out of the car, waiting for me.

I rolled my eyes. "We never save her. This is our first time." I walked over to him.

He took my hand in his again. "And more is sure to come." He kissed my head.

I bumped my hip with his. "She's always there for us. And she'll be there for Rapunzel." I smiled.

Brian smiled. "I can't wait to meet her."

"You say that now. It'll be different when she's crying at 3 in the morning at you have work." I giggled, knocking on the door.

He chuckled, whispering. "Oh no. You'll be the one waking up during the nights. I'll be sleeping."

I playfully glared at him as the door swung open, Diana throwing herself into my arms as she cried.

I rubbed her back as I held her tighter. "Hey, hey. It's gonna be okay. We're here. It's okay."

"No, Nikki. It's not okay," Diana sobbed. "I love him! We were supposed to get married!"
