"So... you and Connor back to being best friends again?" Kian asked after I told him everything that happend like a 5 year old having a sugar rush

"Yeah, I guess. But not right away though, it's not that easy to get things back to the way they were." I stated calmly, still wiggling around, even with Kian's arm around me

"Keep still babe" He chuckled and looked down at me

"I'm sorry, I'm still pretty ecstatic and... stuff. I'm sorry"

"I love seeing you so happy like this... I just wish it was because of me, though... but still." He avoided my gaze as he played with my hair

"But you do make me happy like this... I don't show it though, I thought you'd think I was creepy as hell because you could make me giddy and giggly for days." I smiled, using my finger to turn his face to me, his expression mirroring mine.

"Look, Jamie, what I said on the phone, I uhm... I just got a bit carried away and I'm sor-"

"So you didn't mean it?" My voice came out soft and small, my heart dropping a bit

I mean I really really like Kian, but to say I love you to him right now would feel a bit too early, but I loved the way he made me feel when he said 'I love you', even if it was on the phone.

"No, I do mean it, I do love you, but I don't want you to feel like you're being rushed."

"Oh."

"Is that a good Oh or did I say something wrong?"

"No, I mean Oh as in, I understand. You're just a page ahead of me, that's all. I'll catch up, I promise... I mean I am pretty close to your page."

"Yeah?"

"Yes." I said and kissed him lightly on the cheek.
