Jamie's POV

Kian told me to wait for him after school because he needed to tell me something...which is quite unusual because normally, he'd just go to the house and that explains my nervousness right now

"Hi Lou"

"Hey Kian" I said awkwardly

"Uhmm..I don't know how to start but let's sit down first" We walked to the nearby benches and picked a spot under a tree

"So uhh, first off I want to apologize for making you wait"

"It's okay, but I am curious why you made we wait at school, I mean you'd usually just come over if you wanna tell me something"

"That's the thing Jamie, I can't come over as often as I used to anymore"

"Why? Did you and Sam fight? I'll-"

"No! Sam and I are just fine, he's actually been really understanding"

"About what?"

"Uhmm,okay, I'll answer your question with a question... Willyougooutwithme?"

"What? Speak slower, Ki" He groaned before taking a deep breath

"Will. You. Go. Out. With. Me?" My jaw dropped and I just couldn't find the words to say

"I know that you're shocked and I know that you might feel awkward right now because I've practically been part of your family but I'm gonna risk it, I'm gonna risk my friendship with Sam,the bond I have with your parents and our friendship because if you give me a chance and I win your heart then damn, it's so worth the risk... you're worth the risk."

I weighed the pros and cons silently before looking at him again

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Okay."

"As in Okay?"

"Goddammit stop trying to pull an Augustus Waters on me" I giggled

He grinned before replying "I'll pick you up tomorrow at 7, then"

Sam's POV

"Sam!" I hear Jamie's voice 

"I'm in my room!" Then I heard her footsteps

"Kian asked me out" she said then shot me a confused look

"Did you say yes?"

"Yes...You're okay with this?"

"Why? Do you want me to stop Kian?"

"No..It's just...I don't know, I thought you'd disagree with him or something"

"I just trust Kian enough to trust him with my twin sister" I smiled at her

"Okay then."

"Look Jamie, if any guy would be good for you...I think it's Kian, and I'm not just saying that because he's my best friend. But the choice is still up to you" I said and she just stood there with her lips parted

"I love it when you're a reasonable brother" she hugged me and I just chuckled

Kian's POV

Holy shit.

I'm not ready yet and it's 6:45

I got her a rose

Wait oh my God

What if she's allergic?

"Hey Ki-"

"Ahhhhh!"

"Kian what the hell?" Sam said 

"What are you doing here? Go away you're making me more nervous" I said, turning back to the mirror

"Bu-"

"Wait no don't leave, I actually have a question, is Jamie allergic to roses?"

"No I-"

"Good, good. Does she like carnivals?"

"Yeah, she actual-"

"Okay then. Is she-"

"Kian, dude. Stop for a minute" He said, smirking

"I've never seen you so flustered before" 

"Of course I'm flustered! This is Jamie I'm taking out not just some girl"

"Well I'm glad...But I think Jamie's ready so c'mon"

Jamie's POV

"Jamie! KIan's here!" I hear Sam shout from downstairs

"Yeah, I'm coming!" I shouted back before straightening my shirt for the nth time. I decided to go casual because...well...I assumed that Kian would go for a simple date

"Hi uhm Lou. You look really pretty" Kian said awkwardly while handing me a rose

"Thanks,Ki"

"You ready to go?"

"Yeah"

"C'mon then"

"Bye Sam!"
