Kian's POV

"Look, Kian if you-"

"I know Sam...I know that this doesn't change anything about our deal" I said

"But I'm still very grateful that you were there" He smiled and clapped my back as we walked back to class.

We had a deal that if I really wanted to date Jamie, I'd have to ask for their parents' permission first and he said that if they agreed, it meant that I can't come over as often as I used to and Jamie and I can't be in a relationship until graduation.

God, Sam sounded like a dad when we talked about it. But I understand where he's coming from and the only thing I need to do now...is to tell Jamie how I feel.

Jamie's POV

"Yeah mom. I'll be fine. I'll text you. Bye"

I'm basically home alone with a splitting headache.

I decided to clean up a little and then just lie down...until my phone vibrated

"Jamie? Are you here?"

I rushed to the door and saw Toby looking at me worriedly

"Hey" I whispered before he squeezed me tight

"God. I heard what happend"

"Don't worry, I'm fine"

"You don't look like it"

"I'm just a little bothered, Toby"

"About what?" He asked as we sat down on the couch

"Uhmm...Your brother"

"Oh. I'm really sorry for what he did, I heard about how he was-"

"No,not that...He just texted me, he was apologizing"

"Really?"

"Yeah, but to be honest, I don't know how to feel about it. I think we're better off as strangers from now on."
