I left my eyes closed and put my head on his shoulders. He has always been tall.
"I told you I'm not a killer." He whispered close to my ear. My body shook as I laughed. It turned into chuckles and eventually into a sigh. There was a second of silence and then he said, "Come with me."

"Tomorrow. Come home with me."
"What?"
"Christmas Eve. Spend it with me."
"I can't do that."
"Why not?"
I paused. One, because the only reason I really have is that we don't know each other really well and I know he'd shot that donwn faster than I can finish the sentence. And two, because I do want to spend more time with him.
"Okay."
The next day, I met the Padilla clan.
