His family was big and loud. About fifteen minutes after DJ and I arrived, more and more people started coming in. Aunts. Uncles. Cousins. Second cousins. Grandmother. Grandfather. Great Grandmother. Great Grandmother. From his mom's side. From his dad's. It was like a massive family reunion.
I was nothing but overwhelmed.
Not only were there about 3 dozen people in their house - which by then I understood why it was big - they were the same as DJ's immediate family.
No personal space.
All of them hugged me. Male, female, children, teenagers. All of them greeted me the same way when I was introduced to his mom and dad.
I couldn't understand.
They just met me but they acted as if I was part of the family.
The most amazing thing though is as much as I feel ran over with all this sudden emotion, I can't help but want this.
All the time.
Now, as I stand before you, I marry not only you, but your entire family.
I have family. All because of you.
