Roses eyes grew wide, glancing around the circular room.

"Where... Where are we?"

Scorpions smirked, his eyes crinkling.

"My dorm room."

Roses cheeks flamed up, her mind flicking like a movie reel. This was his room. She shifted around, her legs uncomfortably intertwined across some thick blankets.

His blankets.

Scorpius, Rose thought, seemed to relish in her embarrassment, it wasn't too often she ever lost her cool head.

"Although you won't remember any of this..."

"What."

"You heard me right."

Scorpius smirked again, his wand clearly visible in his hand.

"Obliviate."

---
Shuffling.

Quiet mutters.

The world was a blur to Rose, fuzzy voices drifting in and out of her mind. Slowly her eyes opened, colours dancing lazily in front of her eyes.

A figure drifted into her focus, their faces blurred and shapeless.

"She's awake!"

The blunt voice snapped her vision into focus, the fuzzy figure actually being Madame Longbottom, Hogwarts nurse and wife to Professor Longbottom.

Rose tried to sit upright but Madame Longbottom gently pushed her back down.

"Now dear, don't do yourself any more harm, it's a wonder you got out so unscathed at all!"

Rose's brain pondered on what the nurse meant, but her thoughts were jumbled and mixed, her head a jar full of liquid that had been shaken at high speed.

She didn't remember much.

"What happened?" Her voice was hoarse and brittle, her throat a desert.

Madame Longbottom just chuckled quietly, shaking her head.

"You remember nothing? Well then I-"

Her gentle voice was cut off when a stampede of students clambered by the door of the infirmary, shouting and yelling.

"Rose!'"

"Is she awake?"

"Of course she's awake you sod, who else would Madame Longbottom speak to? Peeves?"

There was a nervous giggle which sounded very similar to Albus's laugh, and Roses heart warmed at the thought of her favourite cousin.

There was more hurried whispers from outside the door.

"Oi, Miss, can we come in?"

Madame Longbottom sighed, a small smile creeping upon her lips. She beckoned the crowd in, and they clamoured around Roses bed.

Albus, James, Lilly, Hugo, everyone was there. In the sea of faces, Rose singled out her other friends who shared a dorm with her, a fourth year named Lacey and her girlfriend Cara.
"Rosie! You ok?"
"What happened?"
"Did you actually see the Chimaera?"
Voices bumped into each other, desperate for her story, her adventure.

"I... How long was I out for?"

The memory of yesterday, or was it? Time seemed meaningless during sleep, and in fact she had no idea how long she hibernated in the nurses office.

Anyway.

The memories of the Chimaera came rushing back to her, the shadows the battle...

And her saviour.

"Is Scorpius okay?" She burbled. She quickly covered her mouth. What the hell did smart assed Scorpius have to do with this. The mob of classmates looked at her confused.

"Sorry" Rose mumbled, " The drugs must still be messing with my head"

Another nervous laugh filled the room.

Albus glanced at his cousin, concern filling his pale face.

"Y'know Rosie, if you still high from Madame Longbottoms painkilling drugs, we can leave you alone..."

The was a disappointed sigh in the cluster of people.

Madame Longbottom appeared from behind a curtain at the mention of her name.

"Albus is right you lot. The poor girl needs rest!"

The group wailed, but slowly shuffled out the room. As soon as the last person left, Madame Longbottom swooped over to Roses bed, a bottle of tar like liquid in her hand.

Taking a large spoon, she filled it with a liquid which resembled goo more than medicine, and stuffed it into Roses mouth.

It was as if someone had condensed a ham and cheese sandwich into liquid form, which was half delightful and half disgusting.

As Rose tried to swallow the sticky medicine, Madame Longbottom asked curiously,

"So Rose dear, why did you mention Scorpiuses name?"

Rose gently bit her tongue, which was still coated in the slimy medicine, and pondered on the question.

She didn't really know why.

She cast her mind back to the fight, and Scorpius did not appear once. Not a single strand of his platinum blonde hair.

"No idea." She sighed. "My mind just must be playing tricks on me."

The nurse gave her a tight inward smile.

"Okay dearie, it's just..." She paused, trailing off into her sentence.

Rose raised her eyebrows.

"You see, Rose, after the Chimaera paraded the school dungeons, you disappeared. Nobody knew where you were. Two days afterwards, you appeared in this exact bed, a note attached to your school tie."

Roses heart thumped wildly. What happened?

"What... What did the note say?"

The nurse shrugged.

"Heavens child, The headmaster snatched from me as soon as you arrived." She narrowed her eyes.

"Seems a bit suspicious if you ask me."
