Reika’s POV

Reika sipped her iced tea and adjusted her sunglasses. It was already late in the afternoon so the sun’s heat is not that hot anymore. She watched as the boys continued their frolicking in the sea. They had the tan now because of staying too much in the sun. That was a good thing for the concept of the filming tomorrow so she just let them burn themselves up.

“You’re not going to swim?”

She turned to see who it was. “Maybe at night. I don’t want to get sunburn.” Victoria nodded and sat beside her.

“Those guys must be a handful.” Unnie commented with a laugh.

“You have no idea, unnie.”

Victoria laughed musically again. Really, she was a charming woman. Apparently, she came with Kyuhyun because they planned to celebrate Kyuhyun’s birthday tomorrow, February 3, there on the island. There are a few others coming later, too. Kyuhyun and Victoria just went on ahead because their schedule was already done. Reika can’t help feeling that ache though, with the thought of the two of them being so close. She wondered if Kyuhyun was dying with happiness now because his noona even went out of the country just to spend his birthday with him. She also can’t help but think that Victoria unnie feels the same way already for him. That was a very depressing thought for her.

“Reika-chan, you seem so lost in your thoughts.” She interrupted.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I was just thinking of something.”

“Something? Or someone? Perhaps, that guy on the red board shorts?” She pointed at Donghae. “You two seemed to be having fun when we arrived.”

“He’s.. just like that.” Reika shrugged.

“But mind you…” Unnie paused to look at her teasingly. “Kyuhyun-a seemed to be burning in jealousy when he saw you two. He really likes you.”

Reika felt her cheeks flush. She hopes Victoria would think it was just because of the sun. “Yeah, like to irritate, maybe. You’re the one he fancies, unnie. Do you like him the same way?” Reika knew she was torturing herself with the things she’s saying, but she wanted to know if her love would be in vain or not.

Victoria took her glance to Kyuhyun who was trying to drown Henry in the middle of the sea. She frowned and so as Reika. “Well, that’s guy evil, as we can see now.” She giggled. “But he’s been a really good friend to me for so long. He’s always been there for me and makes me smile. So he’s –“

“Vicky!” Someone shouted from behind them. They turned to see who it was.

Victoria stood up immediately. “Changmin-a!” There was a bright smile on her face when the guy called Changmin got close. He was with two other girls who Reika remembered as the other f(x) members.
