Reika’s POV

 

Reika cannot register what was happening. Everything was a blur. One moment she saw Donghae about to kiss Jessica then she found herself kissing another. Her eyes were wide open when Kyuhyun kissed her. It’s been years since she last kissed someone (8 years to be exact) and she had no idea how to react. Her mind was telling her to push him away but her arms can’t find the strength.

Kyuhyun’s kiss was soothing her, like telling her that everything will be okay so she doesn’t need to do anything and let things happen. It’s not like she can protest anyway since he held her arms.

“So.. am I supposed to just let him and enjoy it then kiss him back?” Another part of her was asking.

No. That is so wrong. She just met him so this can’t absolutely happen. She was about to push him away when Kyuhyun pulled away from her. Wait, was that all? Why was even asking that, anyway?!

Their eyes met. His eyes were just as bewildered as she is. She was looking at him, asking him what just happened. But all of a sudden, someone pulled her away from Kyuhyun. Reika was surprised to see that it was Donghae.

“Let’s talk.” Donghae said. His face was unreadable.

He was about to go and drag her away with him when Kyuhyun grabbed her other arm.

“Kyuhyun-ssi?” What’s with people pulling her all day?! Why is this even happening to her?!

Donghae looked at Kyuhyun. They stared at each other, weighing out things that Reika doesn’t have any idea on. She also noticed that all the people were watching them now. Oh no. She forgot that they were on a party. Reika also saw the other members standing on the sides. Some of them looked like they were about to butt in if something unpleasant will happen.

Finally, Kyuhyun let her go and turned his back away. Reika can’t understand where the feeling came from but she felt hurt when he let her go with Donghae.

“Let’s go.” Donghae led her away from the party and went to the rooftop. He was still holding her hand and Reika pulled it away. He just let her. Now, she needs an explanation from him.

Donghae’s POV

 

Donghae didn’t know what came to him. When he saw Reika arrive at the party, he was excited to approach her. But then he remembered that he acted like he doesn’t know her, so he decided to avoid her. He went to talk with the other guests, at the same time wondering what he would do or say in front of her. Then, Jessica came to talk to him. He was well aware of her feelings for him and he decided not long ago to try to reciprocate her feelings so when she was about to kiss him, he decided to go with the flow. That’s when he saw Reika watching them looking very hurt. He immediately pulled away and was about to go to her when Kyuhyun kissed her out of the blue. He never thought he could feel more hurt than the time Reika left.

“Donghae-ssi, what are we going to talk about? If it’s about when I saw you and Jessica-ssi, I apologize. I didn’t mean to watch.” Reika started to say.
